Comp Cams 30 for American Modified Series at Soggy Bottom Raceway on June 19

American Modified SeriesGlasgow, KY-June 10, 2010- After a pair of features in Illinois last weekend, the American Modified Series presented by Force Fuel and Engine Conditioner will return to competition in the Bluegrass State of Kentucky with the tour’s first ever visit to Soggy Bottom Raceway in Morgantown, KY on Saturday June 19 for the Comp Cams 30 presented by Force Fuel and Engine Conditioner, paying $1,500 to $200 to start.

On Saturday June 19, the Comp Cams 30 presented by Force Fuel and Engine Conditioner will take place at Soggy Bottom Raceway in Morgantown, KY as the American Modified Series presented by Force Fuel and Engine Conditioner will present a full program that will feature practice, SPEC Race Engines A-B group qualifying, qualifying heats, B-Mains, and the 30 lap, $1,500 to win Comp Cams 30 presented by Force Fuel and Engine Conditioner A-Main.  Joining the American Modified Series presented by Force and Fuel and Engine Conditioner in action on Saturday June 19 at Soggy Bottom Raceway will be the track’s UMP Limited Modified, UMP Mini Stock, Pure Stock, Cruiser, and Rusty Bolts divisions.

Activities for the June 19 Soggy Bottom Raceway date will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., while the general admission area will also open at 4:00 p.m. The driver’s meeting will be at 6:00 p.m., with practice set for 6:15 p.m., followed by SPEC Race Engines A-B group qualifying, with racing set to begin immediately following time trials.  All times listed are CDT.  General admission ticket prices for this event will be $8 and a pit pass will be $30.

The A-Main purse for the Saturday June 19 Soggy Bottom Raceway event is as follows:  1st– $1,500, 2nd– $1,000, 3rd– $800, 4th– $700, 5th– $600, 6th– $575, 7th– $550, 8th– $525, 9th– $500, 10th– $400, 11th– $350, 12th– $300, 13th– $275, 14th– $250, 15th through 24th– $200 to start.

Soggy Bottom Raceway is a 3/8 mile semi-banked clay oval promoted by the father and son duo of Kevin and Joey Burt.  Soggy Bottom Raceway is located at 3895 Rochester Road in Morgantown, KY.  To access Soggy Bottom Raceway, take the William Natcher Parkway to exit 27 and go west 2.5 miles on Kentucky State Road 70.  For more information about Soggy Bottom Raceway, visit the track’s webpage at www.soggybottomraceway.net or by calling the track office at (270) 662-0011 on raceday.
