Rolling Wheels World Series Weekend Opening Day Activity Falls To Rain On Friday

Day one of the 22nd Annual World Series Race Weekend at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park has been cancelled due to persistent afternoon showers that failed to lift by post time.

The scheduled Mr. DIRTcar 358-Modified Championship Series event will not be made up while the Mr. DIRTcar Street Stock portion of Friday’s show has been added to Saturday’s card at Rolling Wheels.

Action in the 2008 Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series returns to the ‘Fast Track’ for the second time this month on Saturday of World Series Race Weekend presented by Taylor Rental of Auburn. Round number 24 in the Advance Series begins with Integra Shocks Time trials at 4 p.m. leading up to the $10,000-to-win BPG National 200 for Big-Blocks.

A regularly scheduled Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman/Pro Stock doubleheader joins the Saturday card along with the recently rescheduled tour stop for UMP Street Stocks, the second installment in the five-race Mr. DIRTcar Street Stock trail.

Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman point chasers will by vying for a spot in the 30-lap Championship event while the top touring Pro Stockers will be battling around the Elbridge speedplant in the DTD Pro Stock 30.

Saturday admission is set at $25 for Adults, $23 for Seniors (65+), $8 for kids (10-14), and FREE for those children 9 and under. Pits will be unlocked at 1 p.m. and the front gates swing open at 2 o’clock with practice beginning at 3:30 for all divisions.
