The battle for second would come down to the final lap as Weasel Rhodes of Sardinia, OH would nip Bryan Barber of Greensburg, KY at the checkered for the runner-up slot.  Thirteenth place starter Doug Adkins of West Portsmouth, OH and Devin Gilpin of Columbus, IN would complete the top five.

The remainder of the top ten would be twenty-first and series provisional starting John Demoss of Bloomington, IN, Joey Kramer of Hanover, IN Broc Burton of Columbus, IN, Jeff Bland, Jr. of Springville, IN,  and 16th place starter Pete Holt of Independence, KY.  The event would be slowed by six cautions, one of which would result in a red flag, and take 34 minutes and 23 seconds to complete.

In preliminary action, Bryan Barber was the Williams Precision Engines Top Qualifier among 42 entries at 13.966 seconds.  Michael England would win Hypercoils heat one, while Broc Burton won Wiles Driveshafts heat two.  Bryan Barber would take VP Racing Fuels heat three and Joey Kramer would score Comp Cams heat four.  Rick Curtin would win Racing Head Service B-Main #1, while Shawn Tolson would take the victory in Comp Cams B-Main #2.
