(Points drop by one (1) point for positions twenty-six (26) to forty (40) if more than twenty-five (25) starters are approved)<\/strong><\/p>\n

A.<\/strong>\u00a0Drivers not in an A-Main Feature, where a B-Feature is run, will receive finish points starting with the first non-transfer.\u00a0 Points will drop one (1) point per position to a minimum of ten (10) points.\u00a0 Any driver participating in the event will receive a minimum of ten (10) finish points.
\nB.<\/strong> Drivers not in an A-Main Feature will receive 10 finish points.
\nC.<\/strong> The 2025 point season will begin on January 1, 2025.
\nD.<\/strong> Only a driver\u2019s highest finish points race will be counted each week for events from January 1, 2025, to March 30, 2025.
\nE.<\/strong> All races will count towards accumulated points starting March 31, 2025 going through September 28, 2025.
\nF.\u00a0<\/strong>The 2025 point season will conclude following all events originally scheduled on or before September 28, 2025.\u00a0 The exception is an A-Feature that is postponed due to weather, which must be completed within fourteen (14) days from the original race date, but may not be held during or after the National Championship event(s).
\nG.<\/strong> Western region(s) or state points may continue past September 28, 2025, but only for regional\/state points and events must be completed by November 15, 2025, and points will include championship events.
\nH.<\/strong>\u00a0For any event to award points, a sanction agreement must be in place.\u00a0 Added events must be approved ten (10) days prior to the event.
\nI.<\/strong>\u00a0Drivers may not participate in multiple top divisions (i.e. Late Models and Pro Late Models) without approval.<\/p>\n

Bonus Points<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A.<\/strong>\u00a0Bonus points of one (1) point for every car over twenty-five (25) entered in the event will be awarded at each race.\u00a0 The maximum bonus points awarded is five (5) points per race.<\/p>\n

Event Points<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A.<\/strong>\u00a0Event points are described as the combined total of finish points and bonus points for a given race.
\nB.<\/strong>\u00a0All races must have ten (10) or more cars entered in order to receive full points.\u00a0 If a race has nine (9) or fewer cars, their points will be reduced by ten percent (10%) for each car missing.
\nC.<\/strong>\u00a0Tracks may be allowed to run more than one (1) feature event per night for any division.\u00a0 Each feature must pay at least the same purse as a weekly show and each feature will be required to pay an additional sanction fee.\u00a0 \u201cDouble\u201d features must be approved in advance.<\/p>\n

Replacement Races<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A.\u00a0<\/strong>A driver may begin replacing event points after the driver has completed the minimum number of races.
\nB.<\/strong>\u00a0Replacement races start with a driver\u2019s lowest event points race.
\nC.<\/strong> A driver will never lose points with a replacement.
\nD.<\/strong>\u00a0Minimum number of races before event points may be replaced:<\/p>\n

TO ALL COMPETITORS AND PARTICIPANTS<\/h3>\n

A.<\/strong> These rules are recommended for the 2025 DIRTcar Stock Car Division. All participants must follow track rules.
\nB.<\/strong> The 2025 DIRTcar Stock Car rules have been established to include the rules in several different regions of North America.
\nC.<\/strong> The following are the 2025 DIRTcar Stock Car rules. All amendments supersede any previous rules regarding any technical article and\/or aspect.
\nD.<\/strong> Under the guideline of the 2025 DIRTcar Stock Car rules and as stated in the 2025 DIRTcar rulebook, all DIRTcar rules apply to all sanctioned divisions.
\nE.<\/strong> The specifications published shall be considered a section of the \u201cGeneral Rules and Specifications\u201d for all events, series and sanctions by World Racing Group. All sections should be considered when determining specifications and governance.<\/p>\n

Rule Changes for 2025 are in Red<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Section 1 – Engines<\/h3>\n

A.<\/strong>\u00a0Open Engine Option<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0The engine and frame must be manufactured by the same company when introduced into competition.
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0The number one (1) spark plug must align itself in a perpendicular line with the center of the upper ball joint for each manufacturer and be set back no further towards the rear of the car.
\nc.<\/strong>\u00a0The engine block must be cast iron from an OEM manufacturer. The SHP DART Block will be permitted for competition.
\nd.<\/strong>\u00a0DART Big M and Little M Blocks permitted.
\ne.<\/strong>\u00a0Aluminum engine blocks are not permitted.
\nf.<\/strong>\u00a0Only cast iron 23-degree cylinder heads are permitted.
\ng.<\/strong>\u00a0Aluminum cylinder heads of any origin are not permitted.
\nh.<\/strong> Roller tip rocker and roller type rocker arms are permitted.
\nI. Any hydraulic or solid flat tappet camshaft and lifter allowed.<\/strong><\/span>
\nj. Hydraulic roller camshafts and lifters allowed.<\/strong><\/span>
\nk. Solid roller camshafts and lifters are prohibited.<\/strong><\/span>
\nl. Hydraulic roller camshafts limited to maximum .550 valve lift and maximum valve spring pressure of 300 lbs measured at max valve lift.<\/strong><\/span>
\nm.<\/strong>\u00a0Cast Iron or Aluminum intake manifolds are permitted.
\nn.<\/strong>\u00a0Cast Iron or aftermarket exhaust headers are permitted. The direction of the exhaust flow must exit away from the car and the track surface.
\no.<\/strong>\u00a0No Crossover Headers.
\np.<\/strong>\u00a0No Tri-Y Headers.
\nq.<\/strong>\u00a0Conventional or Aluminum radiators are permitted.
\nr.<\/strong>\u00a0Only mechanical fuel pumps permitted.<\/p>\n

B.<\/strong>\u00a0Open Engine Electronics and Ignition System<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0HEI distributors are permitted. The OEM firing order for the engine must be maintained and unchanged (GM 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2) (Ford 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8)
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0Racing-type distributors not permitted.
\nc.<\/strong>\u00a0MSD boxes and\/or any other ignition amplifier boxes of any type not permitted.
\nd.<\/strong>\u00a0All cars must be equipped with an operable starter in working condition.
\ne.<\/strong>\u00a0Any, one (1) 12 or 16-volt battery is permitted.
\nf.<\/strong>\u00a0Any battery that is mounted inside the driver\u2019s compartment must be completely enclosed in a marine-type box with a lid and mounted securely.<\/p>\n

C. Open Engine Carburetor<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

a. <\/strong>The required carburetor will be one 4412 500 CFM 2 barrel unaltered carburetor that passes the DlRTcar officials go, no go gauges. No Modifications with the exception of removal of the choke plate and choke shaft. Carburetor must pass DlRTcar official go, no go gauges for venturi size, booster size, booster height, base plate bore size and throttle shaft. Tuning adjustment of jets, PV, PV channels, emulsion holes, air bleeds, floats and accelerator pumps are non tech items. DlRTcar reserves the right for carburetors claimed for competitive analysis and, or inspection.<\/strong><\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/span>b.<\/strong> An approved carburetor roll-over plate that prevents fuel spillage in case of a roll over is highly recommended.
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 i.<\/strong>\u00a0Carburetors with plate(s) will be mandated at a future date to be announced.
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 ii.<\/strong>\u00a0Currently approved roll over plate approved as follows:

\nc.<\/strong> No Super Bowls<\/p>\n

D.<\/strong> Chevrolet Performance Parts 602\/604 Crate Engine<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong> The Chevrolet Performance Parts 602\/604 engine (GM Part Numbers 88958604 or 19418604, 19258602, 88958602) will be allowed as an optional engine for competition during the 2025 racing season. (The Chevrolet Performance Parts 602\/604 crate engines may have part number changes from time to time as issued by the manufacturer.)
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0All engines and all components must remain in their original configuration and form as purchased and\/delivered from GM Performance.Any changes and\/or modifications to the engines or related parts will result in disqualification from the event..
\nc.<\/strong> Any engine and\/or related part that is sealed from the manufacturer that has been tampered with and\/or removed will result in an immediate penalty. The minimum penalty will be a 1,000.00, One thousand dollar fine, loss of all accumulated for the year, and a loss of all earned purse money for the event night that the infraction was discovered.
\nd.<\/strong> Penalties issued may include and will not be limited to a suspension of the car, driver, car owner, and\/or engine builder from participation in any World Racing Group event.
\ne.<\/strong> Any participant (driver, car owner, and\/or engine builder) that is found to have tampered with the engine will lose all points accumulated for the season, and all earnings and the parts will be impounded for competitive analysis. In addition, the participant may be suspended indefinitely from all World Racing Group\/DIRTcar events.
\nf.<\/strong> Accepted seals for the 2025 season will be DIRTcar and CRUSA.<\/p>\n

E.<\/strong>\u00a0Crate Engine Electronics and Ignition System<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0Magnetos will not be permitted.
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0Electronic ignition will be permitted.
\nc.<\/strong>\u00a0MSD-type, ignition amplifier boxes will be permitted. The MSD#6430 6ALN ignition amplifier box or the MSD#8727CT Digital Soft Touch HEI Rev Control Limiter are the only ignition boxes allowed. Only one ignition box allowed.
\nd.<\/strong>\u00a0Series retains the right to change MSD boxes with any car at any time without notice.
\ne. All cars utilizing the crate option and using the MSD #6430 must run one maximum 6200 RPM chip.Crate engines running the MSD #8727 Soft Touch must set the rev. limiter to a maximum 6200.<\/span>
\nf.<\/strong>\u00a0Any device that changes or has the ability to change the ignition advance is not permitted.
\ng.<\/strong>\u00a0All electronic and\/or computerized wheel spin and\/or ignition retardation and\/or accelerating limiting and\/or traction control devices of any type will not be permitted.
\nh.<\/strong> Adjustable ping control devices, dial a chip controls, timing controls, and\/or automated controls will not be permitted.
\ni.<\/strong>\u00a0Adjustable restrictor plates will not be permitted.
\nj.<\/strong>\u00a0Remote control components of any type will not be permitted.
\nk.<\/strong>\u00a0Radios and\/or devices for transmitting voice and\/or data will not be permitted.
\nl.<\/strong>\u00a0Data acquisition systems will not be permitted.
\nm.<\/strong>\u00a0DIRTcar reserves the right for ignition boxes to be claimed and\/or changed (i.e.,\u2019swapped\u2019) for competitive analysis and\/or inspection.<\/p>\n

F. 604 Crate Engine Carburetor<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

After reviewing the 2024 604 Crate engine option, DIRTcar is making the following carburetor change for the 2025 season.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

a. The required carburetor will be one 4412 500 CFM 2 barrel unaltered carburetor that passes the DlRTcar officials go, no go gauges. No Modifications with the exception of removal of the choke plate and choke shaft. Carburetor must pass DlRTcar official go, no go gauges for venturi size, booster size, booster height, base plate bore size and throttle shaft. Tuning adjustment of jets, PV, PV channels, emulsion holes, air bleeds, floats and accelerator pumps are non tech items. DlRTcar reserves the right for carburetors claimed for competitive analysis and, or inspection.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\nb. There will be one DlRTcar approved carburetor spacer plate required between the carburetor and the intake manifold. The plate must be used as produced. The plates are available from Race City Performance at 724-977-7424.<\/strong><\/span>
\nc.<\/strong> An approved carburetor roll-over plate that prevents fuel spillage in case of a roll over is highly recommended.
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 i.<\/strong>\u00a0Carburetors with plate(s) will be mandated at a future date to be announced.

G. <\/strong>6<\/span>02 Crate Engine Carburetor<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

a. One (1) four (4) barrel 650 cfm unaltered Holley carburetor (the only alteration allowed to this carburetor is to make it E-85 compatible), Part Number 4777 or 80777 or Holley HP Carburetor Part Number 80541-1, (-2), and (-3) will be permitted. One (1) two (2) barrel unaltered 500 cfm Holley carburetor Part 4412 will be permitted (the only alteration allowed to this carburetor is to make it E-85 compatible). All carburetor components must remain unaltered (except to allow for E-85). Any changes will result in disqualification from the event. Any alterations to the carburetor will not be permitted (except to allow for E-85).<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

H. 2025 602\/604 Crate Engine Verification Requirements<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

a. For 2025, all Chevrolet Performance 602\/604 engines intended to be used in Pro Late Model or Stock Car competition during the 2025 racing season, that have \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 not been previously verified and sealed will be subject to a mandatory Verification Process at an approved DIRTcar Verification center.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
b. The only EXEMPT engines from this process are the CRUSA sealed 604 engines.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
c. The mandatory verification completion date will be March 1, 2025.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
d. Any non-verified engines detected by DlRTcar officials beginning March 1, 2025, will be subject to confiscation, fines, disqualification or loss of track or <\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 national points.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 GM Performance 602, 604 verification process guidelines:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

1. The engine will have the intake\/exhaust ports and cylinders bore scope inspected.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
2. The engine will be pumped for cubic inch displacement.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
3. The engine will be checked for static compression.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
4. The camshaft will be profiled with Cam Doctor or equivalent.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
e. lf the submitted engine passes the DIRTcar verification process it will have verification seals installed and will then be legal for DIRTcar competition. The cost for the engine <\/span><\/strong>verification process including DIRTcar seals is $350. Any additional work required will be at competitor\u2019s expense.<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n

Section 2 – Transmission, Driveline, and Driveline Components<\/h3>\n

A.<\/strong>\u00a0All Types:<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0The transmission must have a minimum of at least two forward gears and one reverse, plus neutral position.
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0With the motor running and the car in still position, the transmission must be able to engage the car in gear and the car must be able to move forward, then backward.
\nc.<\/strong>\u00a0Only OEM production type transmissions will be permitted \u2013 two speed, three speed, four speed and automatic.
\nd.<\/strong>\u00a0Five speed (or more) transmissions, \u201cin and out\u201d boxes, and\/or quick change will not be permitted.
\ne.<\/strong>\u00a0All functioning shift levers must be located in the OEM position. The flywheel and\/or flex plate must be bolted directly to the end of the crankshaft, and the pressure plate must be fastened and\/or bolted directly to the flywheel\/flex plate.
\nf.<\/strong>\u00a0Only one (1) flywheel\/flex plate will be permitted. All driveline components within the bell housing must rotate consistent with the RPM of the engine while the car is in any gear. Only unaltered an unaltered OEM flex plate and\/or an OEM replacement will be permitted.
\ng.<\/strong>\u00a0All bellhousings must be steel.<\/p>\n

B.<\/strong>\u00a0Manual:<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0Any manual gear-type transmission must be in an OEM or OEM replacement case and have a working 7.25-inch minimum diameter, steel and\/or aluminum, single or multi-disc clutch inside an explosion proof STEEL bell housing. The bell housing must be a minimum 270 degrees around the top of the clutch\/flywheel area.<\/p>\n

C.<\/strong>\u00a0Automatic:<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0Any automatic-type transmission must remain in an OEM or OEM replacement case, with a functioning OEM appearing pump.
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0The original OEM bellhousing must have an approved scatter shield constructed of minimum 0.125\u201d inch by three (3) inch steel, 270 degrees around flex plate. Manual bump starts will be permitted.<\/p>\n

D.<\/strong>\u00a0Aftermarket Transmission<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0Approved aftermarket transmissions are Bert (Part #LMZ\/GEN II), Brinn (Part #70001), Falcon (Part #60100), RaceGator (Part #140002\/140002-C) and Mitchell Machine Bullet Transmission.
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0No reverse mount starters.
\nc.<\/strong>\u00a0No ball spline allowed.
\nd.<\/strong>\u00a0Starter must bolt to the engine block in the factory\/stock location.<\/p>\n

E.<\/strong>\u00a0Drive Shaft<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0The driveshaft must be a minimum of two (2) inch diameter and made from magnetic steel.
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0The driveshaft must be painted white and clearly labeled with the car number on the white portion of the driveshaft.
\nc.<\/strong>\u00a0Only magnetic steel slip-yokes will be permitted.

a.<\/strong>\u00a0Torque differentiating differentials such as DPI Gold Track & Platinum Track will not be permitted.
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0Stock passenger car, pickup, and floater rear ends allowed (3\/4-ton max.). No aluminum allowed except lowering blocks and axle cap. Lowering blocks cannot be adjustable. Hubs and rotors may be OEM or aftermarket steel. No cambered rear ends allowed (one piece drive flange only. Panhard bars are not allowed.
\nc.<\/strong>\u00a0Quick change rear ends will be permitted. All components must be STEEL<\/p>\n

i.<\/strong>\u00a0Quick change must have magnetic steel tubes and steel axles.
\nii.<\/strong>\u00a0Lower spring perches must be welded to the axle tubes.
\niii.<\/strong>\u00a0No scalloped ring gears.
\niv.<\/strong>\u00a0Must use a 10 inch ring gear and minimum 1 inch wide solid spur gears.<\/p>\n

d.<\/strong>\u00a0Locked rear ends only. Welding of gears in the rear end will be permitted.
\ne.<\/strong>\u00a0Only non-adjustable upper trailing arm brackets will be permitted and must remain level from side to side.

Section 3 – Fuel, Fuel Cells, and Fuel System<\/h3>\n

A.<\/strong>\u00a0Only gasoline-type fuels will be permitted.
\nB.<\/strong>\u00a0The fuel cell must be securely mounted in the rear of the car and secured with straps. It is recommended that the fuel cell be mounted solidly to the rear frame rails of the vehicle in a fabricated manner.
\nC.<\/strong>\u00a0All fuel cells must be enclosed in a metal container.
\nD.<\/strong>\u00a0The fuel cell must be a steel container with a minimum of two (2) one (1) inch by 1\/8\u201d (inch) steel straps on each side of the container to mount the fuel cell.
\nE.<\/strong>\u00a0Only gasoline will be permitted. Methanol and\/or any other type of fuel and\/or any type of fuel additive will not be permitted.
\nF.<\/strong>\u00a0E-85 will be permitted.
\nG.<\/strong>\u00a0NO C85.<\/p>\n

Section 4 – Electrical Systems, Batteries, and Electrical Accessories<\/span><\/h3>\n

A.<\/strong>\u00a0The battery must be securely mounted and shielded.
\nB.<\/strong>\u00a0The battery must not be mounted inside the driver\u2019s cockpit.<\/p>\n

Section 5 – Chassis, Frames and Roll Cage<\/h3>\n

A.<\/strong>\u00a0Chassis<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0Any American manufactured cars and\/or full-size \u201cuni-body\u201d type cars 1964 and newer will be permitted. Sports car chassis for the Chevrolet Camaro\/Pontiac Firebird and\/or the Ford Mustang from 1967 to 1985 will be permitted. If utilizing a unibody frame\/chassis, the stock unaltered floor pan is required, front to rear. 1980 or newer Ford unibodies may be replaced with Ford full frames. May be shortened to one-hundred seven and one-half (107.5) inches minimum.
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0All vehicles must maintain a minimum of 107.5\u201d (inch) wheelbase. Maximum one-inch difference from side to side.
\nc.<\/strong>\u00a0Altering of the stock frame, with the exception of repair to the original frame to maintain original specifications, will not be permitted. Repairs that will be acceptable will include patching of holes and\/or rusted) areas of the frame. Repairs will be approved at the discretion of DIRTCAR Officials and\/or local track officials.
\nd.<\/strong>\u00a0The rear frame may be replaced from the rear shock absorber mounts toward the rear of the car using minimum 2\u00d73 square tubing or minimum 1-3\/4\u201d round tube. Regardless of make, model or style of vehicle, replacement may only be made behind the rear shock absorber mounts.
\ne. The only approved aftermarket frame for competition is the Bernheisel Race Cars M Series Chassis. No alterations allowed to lower control arm, steering box, idler arm or rear 4-link pickup points.\u202fNo alterations allowed to frame from front horns to center of rear axle.\u202f Front upper control arm mounts may be relocated.\u202f Front jack bolts and spring buckets must remain in stock location. Bernheisel checking gauges will be utilized to ensure compliance. The frame MUST be certified, and VIN\/Serial numbered for use in DIRTcar competition. Any DIRTcar Tubular Frame or Repair Clip found to be altered, could result in severe fines and penalties for the racer. The serial\/VIN and titling process is implemented to track\/trace these from the manufacturer to assist in keeping the program sound and in place.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

B.<\/strong>\u00a0Roll Cage<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong> A minimum 4-point competition roll cage is required. The roll cage must be constructed of magnetic steel tubing that is a minimum of 1\u00bd\u201d in diameter, with a minimum tubing thickness of .095 (wall thickness). The roll cage must be located within the stock OEM parameters of the doors of the vehicle. Offset cages will NOT be permitted. Driver\u2019s head must not protrude outside of the cage with the helmet on. The Driver\u2019s body must remain inside the cage.\u00a0A cockpit will be allowed. An inspection hole is mandatory.<\/strong><\/span>
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0A minimum of three (3) door bars are required on each door, parallel to the ground, and perpendicular to the driver. Minimum four (4) uprights tied from frame to top of door on driver\u2019s side.
\nc.<\/strong>\u00a0A minimum of three (3) driver protection bars are required in the windshield.
\nd.<\/strong>\u00a0Front and rear bars that pass through the firewall will be permitted, with one (1) kicker bar to the frame.
\ne.<\/strong>\u00a0A radiator protection bar will be permitted.
\nf.<\/strong>\u00a0The rear vertical roll bar hoop must be mounted on the rear body mount in the center section of the frame a maximum of 84\u201d-inches rearward of the centerline of the right front wheel\/spindle. Rear vertical roll bar hoops mounted on the rear frame rails (rearward of the rear body mounts) will not be permitted. The rear vertical roll bar hoop of the roll cage should be perpendicular to the frame and must not exceed a ten (10) degree variation from perpendicular in its vertical rise from the frame.
\ng.<\/strong>\u00a0There must be a minimum of 40\u201d-inches between the outside edge of the front and rear down bars at the top of the door panel. A maximum of 41\u201d-inches (48\u201d-inches on 1988-1996 GM-type bodies) from the top center of the windshield to the front edge of the rear hoop and a maximum of 13\u201d-inches (20\u201d-inches) for 1988-1996 GM-type bodies) to the front edge of the top halo.
\nh.<\/strong>\u00a0The top halo must be no less than thirty-six (36) inches across left to right and twenty-nine (29) inches front to back, from outside to outside
\ni.<\/strong>\u00a0One (1), 1-3\/4\u2033 X .095 thickness DOM round tube may be added parallel to the right-side frame rail not more than 10 inches in from the outside of the frame rail. The right front cage down bar may be mounted to it but must be centered on the tube.
\nj.<\/strong>\u00a0A minimum of one cross- bar in the top halo of the roll cage is required.
\nk.<\/strong>\u00a0Passenger side front down bar may be moved in a maximum
\nl.<\/strong>\u00a0The rear hoop must be a maximum of 12\u201d-inches in from the bottom of the opera window and have an X Brace consisting of one full horizontal bar and one full diagonal bar.
\nm.<\/strong>\u00a0Steel door plates are required. Steel door plates with eighteen (18) gauge or forty-nine thousandths (.049) inch minimum thickness metal must be securely welded to outside of door bars on the driver\u2019s side. Plate must cover the area from the top door bar to the rocker panel and from the rear down post to six (6) inches in front of the seat. Must be visible for inspection.<\/p>\n

Section 6 – Weight<\/h3>\n

A. The minimum weight requirement at all times for open engine and 604 Crate engines will be 3,000 lbs. (pounds) while 602 Crate engine cars must weigh a minimum of 2,800 lbs. (pounds)<\/strong><\/span>
\nB.<\/strong>\u00a0All weights must be securely mounted with two (2) \u00bd\u201d (inch) bolts securing them to the frame in a positive manner. The weight(s) must be painted white with the car number clearly marked on them. All weights must be mounted under the body of the car.
\nC.<\/strong>\u00a0All added weight(s) must be securely attached to the frame inside the frame rails and behind the body. Frame is defined as the steel welded structure only.
\nD.<\/strong>\u00a0Any part that moves or is not a fixed component to the steel frame structure may not be used for any weight attachment.
\nE.<\/strong>\u00a0No weight of any kind is to be allowed on the rear end or axle tubes.
\nF.<\/strong>\u00a0No weight of any kind is to be allowed in the driver\u2019s compartment.
\nG.<\/strong>\u00a0No weight of any kind is to be attached to the front or rear bumpers of the vehicle.
\nH.<\/strong>\u00a0Weight must be mounted to the frame or roll cage.<\/p>\n

Section 7 – Body<\/h3>\n

A.<\/strong>\u00a0Car bodies must be installed using minimums and maximums as outlined in the Body Dimension Diagram in Amendment A and Amendment B.
\nB.<\/strong>\u00a0The body, body mounting position and overall appearance must retain dimensions as published for that body style. The following body styles are allowed: Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, Camaro, Mustang, Camry, Challenger. Body must resemble the type of car being claimed. Example: If you claim it is a Camaro, then it must look like a Camaro.
\nC.<\/strong>\u00a0Body panels may not be curved or bowed inward (towards the interior of the car.)
\nD.<\/strong>\u00a0The body may be magnetic steel or aluminum.
\nE.<\/strong>\u00a0Stock OEM or aluminum aftermarket replacement hood allowed. Hood must have factory feature lines, be separate from fenders and in OEM location.. Hole in the hood allowed for air cleaner clearance only. The back of the hood must be sealed off from the driver\u2019s compartment.
\nF.<\/strong>\u00a0Raised hood boxes will not be permitted with the exception of aftermarket fiberglass hoods. The aftermarket fiberglass hood may have a maximum raised surface of 3.5\u201d-inches in height provided it is pre-manufactured into the design of the hood. Aftermarket 3.5 maximum hood scoops will be permitted.
\nG.<\/strong> Front nose shall be stock OEM or Plastic Aftermarket DIRTcar approved with a maximum installed width of 73\u201d inches. Late Model, or wedge type aerodynamic noses will not be permitted. Exposed tubing, bracing, or bumpers outside of the nose piece will not be permitted. No raked mounting of nose. Floppers or flares, of any kind, that are added to the car (fenders, nose, etc.) WILL NOT be permitted. Fenders and nose piece must remain tight with the body lines on the car.\u00a0Plastic fenders are permitted.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>
\nH.<\/strong> The rear of the car must be enclosed with a stock appearing plastic, aluminum, or approved aftermarket plastic filler panel.<\/span> The rear of the car must be enclosed with stock or aftermarket\/plastic, DIRTcar approved tailpiece. Holes will not be permitted in the rear cover of the car. Rear bumper cover must be no less than 20.5 inches from top to bottom and completely enclosed from left to right. DIRTcar approved aftermarket tailpieces are mandatory.
\nI.<\/strong>\u00a0The rear bumpers, behind the rear cover, must have round edges, not sticking out further than the side of the car and connect solidly to the frame.
\nJ.<\/strong>\u00a0Bodies that appear to be wedge shaped, and\/or do not have stock contours\/shape in appearance will not be permitted.\u00a0ABSOLUTELY NO FLAT SIDED BODIES. ZERO TOLERANCE.
\n<\/b>K.<\/strong>\u00a0Homemade steel\/aluminum body panels are permitted, and must follow the configuration, bend, and shape of the stock body.
\nL.<\/strong>\u00a0Quarter windows\/Sail panels must follow published dimensions specific to the body style and must be the same dimensions on each side of the car.\u00a0Quarter windows\/sail panels must be flat and straight from roof to top of quarter panel and not bow in or out.The Opera window should be visible. Clear Lexan may be used to cover opera windows, if not the opera window must remain open (both sides) Late model\/modified (open or closed) type sail panels will not be permitted..
\nM.<\/strong>\u00a0OEM or aftermarket size trunk lid mandatory. Access\/inspection holes serving the purpose as a trunk, will NOT be permitted. Trunk lids must be removable.
\nN.<\/strong>\u00a0Station Wagon, Truck, SUV, body styles not permitted.
\nO.<\/strong>\u00a0Car Body must be installed using minimums and maximums as outlined in the Body Dimension Diagram.
\nP.<\/strong>\u00a0NO Late Model\/Modified style roofs. The top and\/or roof of the car must be fastened in its dimensions as published.NO FLAT ROOFS.
\nQ.<\/strong>\u00a0Roofs can have no more than 1.5 inches of rake from front to back and must be level side to side.
\nR.<\/strong>\u00a0Roof supports\/pillars must resemble stock and be in stock location.
\nS.<\/strong>\u00a0The front windshield opening must be covered with \u00bd\u201d x \u00bd\u201d-inch and\/or 1\u201d x \u00bd\u201d-inch wire mesh. It is also mandatory that three (3) support bars fabricated from magnetic steel tubing, a minimum of \u00bd-inch diameter, be spaced equally in front of the driver and welded to the top roll cage bar and the dash bar of the roll cage in a vertical manner.
\nT.<\/strong> The floor pan and firewalls must be stock in appearance and be complete on both the driver and passenger side of the vehicle (frame rail to frame rail). The front firewall must be no further back than a maximum of 12\u201d-inches behind the rear edge of the engine block. No part of the firewall or floor pan may be offset. The entirety of the firewall and floor pan must exist on the same plane (the same all the way across\/from side to side) with the exception of the driveshaft tunnel. The floor pan and firewalls (front and rear) may be repaired and\/or fabricated but must retain stock appearance and stock material thickness. Aftermarket firewall floor pan, and driveshaft tunnel will be permitted. Must be 18-gauge or .049-inch thickness magnetic steel.
\nU.<\/strong>\u00a0Repair of the floor pan or firewall patch, if needed, must be made with magnetic steel with minimum thickness of the original in the stock location. Repair patch is limited to the repair or hole only.
\nV.<\/strong>\u00a0Floorboard may be cut for the mounting of the roll cage only.
\nW.<\/strong>\u00a0The floor pan must have a driveshaft tunnel. Maximum driveshaft tunnel heights 8\u201d inches.
\nX.<\/strong>\u00a0Firewall(s) must be sealed and complete. Open holes in the firewall will not be permitted.
\nY.<\/strong>\u00a0The front of the rear firewall must maintain the same height as the top of the front of the dashboard.
\nZ.<\/strong>\u00a0The maximum length of the dashboard from the front firewall to the edge of the dashboard panel will be 24\u201d- inches. Dashboard must be flat, level, and complete from left to right, front to back except for the cowl in front of the driver. Dashboard cannot be lower in height than the top of the door.
\nAA.<\/strong> The firewall must be at a 90-degree angle from the floor pan.
\nBB.<\/strong>\u00a0All rear decking in the car must be level from left to right. The rake of the rear portion of the interior deck can have a gradual angle from the rear of the seat to the rear of the car. NO DROPPED DECKS.
\nCC.<\/strong>\u00a0The trunk floor area may be cut to allow for the mounting of the fuel cell.
\nDD.<\/strong> Exposed tubing and\/or bracing outside of the body line of the car will not be permitted.
\nEE.<\/strong>\u00a0Rub\/side rails may be attached to the chassis under the body from the fender well to the rear quarter panel.
\nFF.<\/strong>\u00a0A maximum seven (7) inch visor\/sun shield may be added to the top of the windshield opening. The window openings, front and\/or rear, driver and\/or passenger side must retain their stock OEM dimensions.
\nGG.<\/strong>\u00a0Mirrors of any type are not permitted.
\nHH.<\/strong>\u00a0Tube-type front bumpers behind the front or rear cover will be permitted. Tube-type bumpers must have capped ends. Sharp edges will not be permitted. Exposed tubing and\/or bracing must not stick out further than the side of the car.
\nII. A spoiler with a maximum height measurement of 4\u201d will be allowed on the rear of the car. Only aluminum and\/or Lexan and\/or Lexan-type rear spoilers will be permitted. The rear spoiler must begin at the rear most point of the quarter panels. The outside spoiler supports must not be mounted any wider than the top of the quarter panel(s) and must be centered on the rear deck. The spoiler must maintain the same height all the way across the car.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Section 8 – Wheels and Tires<\/h3>\n

A.<\/strong>\u00a0The tire rule may be amended by bulletin at any time.
\nB.<\/strong>\u00a0The only approved DIRTcar tire is the Hoosier M-30 and M-60 compound. The maximum width of the tire will be 9\u201d inches.
\nC.<\/strong>\u00a0The M-30 or M-60 must be used on all four corners.
\nD.<\/strong>\u00a0Fully effective with the start of the weekly season.
\nE.<\/strong>\u00a0Siping and grinding is permitted.
\nF. Grooving of tires is permitted.<\/span><\/strong>
\nG.<\/strong>\u00a0Recapping of an approved tire is not permitted.
\nH.<\/strong>\u00a0Any local track and\/or DIRTcar officials can confiscate any tire at any time and during any DIRTcar event to be evaluated and analyzed including verification using a tire durometer. Tires may also be submitted for further chemical analysis.
\nI.<\/strong>\u00a0Defacing or altering any of the manufacturer\u2019s identification markings, letters, words, numbers, on any tire will not be permitted.
\nJ.<\/strong>\u00a0Any alteration of tires may result in immediate suspension from all DIRTcar racetracks and\/or events and\/or penalties deemed appropriate by local track and\/or DIRTcar and\/or World Racing Group Supervisory Officials.
\nL.<\/strong>\u00a0Tire softeners and\/or chemicals designed to alter the chemical characteristics of the tire and\/or the tire surface will not be permitted.
\nM.<\/strong>\u00a0Only 8-inch racing wheels will be permitted.
\nN.<\/strong>\u00a0All wheels must be conventional one-piece magnetic steel and must be mounted with lug nuts. Aluminum, plastic and\/or carbon fiber wheels will not be permitted.
\nO.<\/strong>\u00a0All wheels must be fastened to the hub with five lug nuts.
\nP.<\/strong>\u00a0Bead lock will be permitted on the right rear tire only
\nQ.<\/strong>\u00a0Only approved wheel discs will be permitted. Approved wheel discs are wheel discs that are fastened to the wheel using a minimum of three (3), 1\/4 or 5\/16-inch diameter magnetic steel hex head bolts. The use of wheel discs with any other type of fastener will not be permitted.

Section 9 – Suspension, Suspension Components, Springs, Shocks, Steering, and Steering Components<\/h3>\n

A.<\/strong> All suspension components must remain stock in their OEM mounting locations for the year make and model\/frame of the vehicle with the exception of racing shocks and\/or springs. All suspension, front and rear end parts and mounts must be steel. Gun-drilled,hollow bolts or studs of any kind are not allowed anywhere on the car.
\nB.<\/strong> No Strut style suspension allowed.
\nC.<\/strong> Upper Tubular-type A-Frames, will be permitted. No heim ends. Upper A-frame mount may be moved or replaced with aftermarket steel non-adjustable, non-slotted mount matching upper A-frame bolt on design. The A- Frames may be reinforced along the edges by welding round stock. Cutting and\/or changing lengths of the A-Frames will not be permitted.
\nD.<\/strong> Lower A-frames must be stock\/stamped OEM and not be altered or moved from their stock mounting location and must match chassis (Metric to Metric, Big Metric to Big Metric, Camaro to Camaro, Nova to Nova, etc.) Homemade lower control arms will not be permitted. Tubular lower a-frames of any kind will not be permitted.
\nE.<\/strong> Lower A-frames must be stock and unaltered. Cutting and\/or fabricating is not allowed.
\nF.<\/strong> The steering shaft may be a collapsible shaft.
\nG.<\/strong> Aftermarket steering wheel and quick release are permitted.
\nH.<\/strong> Steering quickening devices are permitted.
\nI.<\/strong> Aftermarket 3-piece metric spindles will be allowed. (Speedway Part# 910345010) Pinto spindles of any type are NOT allowed.
\nJ.<\/strong> Pitman and idler arms must be stock or OEM replacement stock.

\nv.<\/strong> Slots in the frame or rear-end mounts will NOT be permitted.<\/p>\n

O.<\/strong> The upper rear trailing arms may be altered (shortened and\/or lengthened) to obtain the correct pinion angle.
\nP.<\/strong> Upper rear trailing arm rear end mounts must be level side to side, non-adjustable and consist of one hole on each side.
\nQ.<\/strong> Aftermarket bushings will be permitted, but the arm must not be altered in any manner. Adjustable\/and or rod ends (heims) will not be permitted. No offset bushings.
\nR.<\/strong> Leaf-type springs will be permitted. Only stock OEM-type magnetic steel leaf spring(s) stack(s) will be permitted. Single leaf, mono-type-leaf and\/or any type of slider and\/or any composite leaf-type applications will not be permitted. Leaf springs must match chassis being ran. Camaro to Camaro, Chrysler to Chrysler etc.
\nS.<\/strong> Coil-over applications of any-type will not be permitted.
\nT.<\/strong> Aftermarket coil springs will be permitted. The coil spring location may be altered on the rear of the vehicle; however, the centerline of the axle tube may not be any further forward than the front of the spring or not further back than the rear of the spring and cannot move left or right on the rear end. Non-progressive springs only. No spring rubbers allowed.
\nU.<\/strong> Coil springs must remain vertical in their mounting application. No angled spring mounts of ANY kind allowed.
\nV.<\/strong> No suspension limiters of any kind allowed. This includes, but is not limited to, chains, straps, ropes, bump stops, etc. Shock shaft must be able to compress all the way into the shock body. Shock must move in both directions from its installed position. Shock cannot preload the spring.
\nW.<\/strong> Only one (1) magnetic steel body, non-adjustable shock absorbers per wheel will be permitted. No Schrader Valves. No piercing valves. No Bulb shocks.No air shocks.Rear shocks must remain behind the rear end housing and remain within twenty-five (25) degrees of vertical.Top of rear shock may be on an adjustable weight-jack-type bolt.
\nX.<\/strong> Front shocks must be mounted outside the spring pocket on lower A-frame; maximum one, three inch wide opening on side of spring pocket for shock clearance.Top of front shock may be on an adjustable weight-jack-type bolt. Sliding shock mounts are not allowed.
\nY.<\/strong> Maximum 7 inch stroke on front shocks and maximum 9 inch stroke on rear shocks.
\nZ.<\/strong> All shocks must completely collapse at any time.\u00a0 Shock shaft must be able to compress all the way into the shock body. Shock shaft must move in both directions from its installed position and measured at ride height. No shock can preload or pin any spring.
\nAA.<\/strong> Rear shocks may use adjustable upper shock mount.
\nBB.<\/strong> Weight jacks will be permitted.

\nDD.<\/strong> Only stock\/STEEL type OEM brakes will be permitted. Disc brake(s) will be permitted on the rear brake(s) provided that the rear brake caliper(s) match the front brake calipers. Alterations to the rear brake rotors, to fit the rotor to the rear only, will be permitted.
\nEE.<\/strong> All four corners must be in working and operating condition prior to and following the completion of competition. Aftermarket brake pedals will be permitted. Brake bias adjusters are permitted.
\nFF.<\/strong> All four wheels must be able to stop\/brake at all times.
\nGG.<\/strong> No Scalloped rotors of any kind on any corner.
\nHH.<\/strong> Suspension components that are adjustable within the driver compartment of any-type will not be permitted, aside from brake bias adjusters.<\/p>\n

Section 10 – Personal Safety Equipment<\/h3>\n

A.<\/strong>\u00a0General<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0Each competitor is solely responsible for the effectiveness and proper installation, per the manufacturer\u2019s specifications, of personal safety equipment and determining it to be adequate for competition at every event. Each competitor is expected to investigate and educate themselves for continuing improvement regarding their own personal safety equipment.
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0Different safety regulations may be in place depending on the local and\/or state government rules and\/or laws and\/or regulations in the specific location of the racetrack. Helmet and seatbelt dates and\/or specified equipment requirements, worn, utilized and\/or otherwise may be different than specified in the rulebook. Contact your local track officials for more information regarding this.
\nc.<\/strong>\u00a0Each division section will cover the General and Specific Safety and Personal Protection minimum requirements. All participants are solely responsible to meet the requirements in the specific division.
\nd.<\/strong>\u00a0Only SFI 45.1 roll bar padding may be used. Knee, steering pads and\/or additional padding may be utilized.
\ne.<\/strong>\u00a0All teams should have an easily accessible fire extinguisher or its equivalent in the team\u2019s pit area.<\/p>\n

B.<\/strong>\u00a0Seat Belts and Restraint Systems<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0Each car must be equipped with a minimum of an SFI 16.1 or SFI 16.5 approved restraint system. Restraint system will be eligible for use in competition until the expiration date or for 2 years from the date of manufacture. Seat belt restraint systems shall be installed and used in accordance with manufacturer\u2019s instructions.
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0In any type of manufacturer\u2019s installation, the fasteners must be as supplied by the manufacturer.
\nc.<\/strong>\u00a0Seat belt material should not be permitted to come in contact with any sharp or metal edge, including when the material passes through the seat.<\/p>\n

C.<\/strong>\u00a0Protective Clothing<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0All drivers will be required to wear a fire-resistant driving uniform meeting the minimum of the SFI 3.2A\/5 specifications and display a valid SFI 3.2A\/5 label on the outside of the uniform.
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0Drivers must wear gloves at all times they are on track. Driver\u2019s gloves must meet or exceed the SFI 3.3 specification and have a legible and valid SFI 3.3 label.
\nc.<\/strong>\u00a0Drivers must wear shoes that meet the minimum of the SFI 3.3 specifications and display a valid SFI 3.3 label.<\/p>\n

D.<\/strong>\u00a0Seats<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0All current seats must be full containment type constructed of aluminum or approved carbon fiber and must adhere to the general design specifications of SFI 39.2 seat construction standards. Design shall include comprehensive head surround, shoulder and torso support system, energy impact foam, and removable head foam.
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0Carbon fiber seats must have a current valid SFI 39.2 certification.
\nc.<\/strong>\u00a0SFI 39.2 seat compliance for the World of Outlaws Late Models, Super DIRTcar Series, 358 Modifieds and DIRTcar Late Models will become mandatory at a future date.
\nd.<\/strong>\u00a0SFI 39.2 seat compliance for the DIRTcar Pro Late Models, UMP Modifieds, UMP Pro Modifieds, NE Sportsman will become mandatory at a future date.
\ne.<\/strong>\u00a0Up fitting a current seat with bolt-on kits will be permitted with a seat manufacturer produced kit and an acceptable base seat approved by the seat manufacturer. Components must include a comprehensive head surround, shoulder and torso support system, and energy impact foam. Must be installed in accordance with the seat manufacturer\u2019s instructions. Combining components may not meet SFI 39.2 Certification.
\nf.<\/strong>\u00a0Seats must be used as supplied and installed following instructions provided by the seat manufacturer.
\ng.<\/strong>\u00a0If the left side head surround is 7\u201d-inches or less when measured from the back of the headrest, then a left side head net meeting the SFI 37.1 must be installed with a quick release latch. A minimum left side head surround of 4\u201d-inches is required.<\/p>\n

E.<\/strong>\u00a0Helmets<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0All drivers must wear a full-face helmet with a minimum safety rating of FIA 8860-2010, FIA 8860-2018, Snell SA 2015, Snell SA 2010, Snell SAH 2010 and\/or a valid SFI 31.1\/2005 label.<\/p>\n

F.<\/strong>\u00a0Head and Neck Restraints<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0Drivers, at all times they are on the track, must have their helmets correctly (following manufacturers installation and use instructions) connected to an approved head and neck restraint.
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0The head and neck restraint must be SFI 38.1 approved and display a legible and valid SFI 38.1 label.<\/p>\n

G.<\/strong>\u00a0Fire Suppression<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0Required for DIRTcar Late Models, Super DIRTcar Series, DIRTcar Big Block Modifieds, DIRTcar 358 Modified, DIRTcar NE Sportsman and DIRTcar NE Pro Stocks. It is recommended for all other divisions.
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0All racecars shall be equipped with a thermally deployed automatic fire suppression system. The fire suppression system will consist of a DOT approved cylinder manufactured from aluminum or steel with a capacity of ten (10) lbs. of fire extinguishing agent, steel or steel reinforced lines, and has a minimum of two (2) thermally activated discharge nozzles.
\nc.<\/strong>\u00a0All systems must meet or exceed SFI 17.1 specifications.
\nd.<\/strong>\u00a0Systems must be fully charged with ten (10) lbs. of DuPont FE-36, 3M NOVEC 1230, FireAde or 4Fire and display a legible and valid SFI and manufacturer label depicting fire extinguishing agent, capacity, and certification date. Cylinders that are beyond useful certification date must be inspected, serviced and re-labeled by the manufacturer.
\ne.<\/strong>\u00a0Cylinders must be mounted forward of the fuel cell. Cylinders must be securely mounted to the frame\/roll cage assembly. The certification label must be unobstructed and easily accessible for inspection when the mounting is complete. For systems with one activation point, the activation point may be mounted in the cockpit or rear of the car close to the fuel cell.
\nf.<\/strong>\u00a0The cylinder must be connected to the nozzles with steel or steel reinforced lines.
\ng.<\/strong>\u00a02 (two) thermally activated nozzles must be used. One (1) nozzle must be located directly above the fuel cell in the fuel cell area and the second nozzle located in the driver cockpit area.
\nh.<\/strong>\u00a0An optional manual override cable is recommended for two (2) thermal automatic nozzle systems but is mandatory for systems with one (1) activation point.<\/p>\n

H.<\/strong>\u00a0Other<\/p>\n

a.<\/strong>\u00a0No sharp or protruding edges in or around the driver compartment, which would impede the driver\u2019s rapid exit from the car.
\nb.<\/strong>\u00a0Windshield screens with a minimum of .090-inch screens must be securely fastened
\nc.<\/strong>\u00a0An electrical engine shut off switch is required. The switch must be clearly labeled and within the reach of the driver.
\nd.<\/strong>\u00a0A fuel shut off valve is recommended and should be utilized. The valve should be clearly labeled and within reach of the driver. The fuel line must not enter the driver compartment.<\/p>\n
