To all DIRTcar, Pro Late Model & Stock Car teams utilizing the used GM 604 engine option, and Promoters.
\nFrom: Sam Driggers<\/p>\n

For 2024, All Chevrolet Performance 604 engines intended to be used in Pro Late Model or Stock Car competition during the 2024 racing season, that have not been previously verified and sealed will be subject to a mandatory Verification Process at an approved DIRTcar Verification Center.
\nThe only EXEMPT engines from this process are the CRUSA sealed 604 engines.
\nThe mandatory verification completion date will be July 1, 2024.
\nAny non-verified engines detected by DIRTcar Officials beginning July 1, 2024 will be subject to Confiscation, Fines, Disqualification,or Loss of track or National Points.<\/p>\n

GM Performance 604 verification process guidelines:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The engine will have the Intake\/Exhaust ports and cylinders bore scope inspected.<\/li>\n
  2. The engine will be pumped for cubic inch displacement.<\/li>\n
  3. The engine will be checked for static compression.<\/li>\n
  4. The camshaft will be profiled with Cam Doctor or equivalent.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If the submitted engine passes the Dirtcar verification process it will have verification seals installed and will then be legal for Dirtcar competition. The cost for the engine verification process including Dirtcar seals is $350.00. Any additional work required will be at competitors expense.
