Plymouth Speedway first sanctioned track to participate<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n CONCORD, N.C. \u2013 Oct. 15, 2015 \u2013 Plymouth (Ind.) Speedway has become the first DIRTcar-sanctioned race track to include the recently released DIRTcar Pro Sprint as a weekly division.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ed Kennedy, owner of the 3\/8-mile dirt oval, is excited with the prospects: \u201cThe developers of this package used our track numerous times, and I have been impressed every time it hits the track. The concept is perfect for the weekly and hobby racer. This division will be a great addition to our weekly lineup.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Plans include nine regional divisions and a National Champion who will be recognized at the World of Outlaws Sprint Series Banquet. Regions and the number of races to qualify will be released in March 2016.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cThese cars are plenty fast and will race really well,\u201d said weekly participant Garret Saunders, who has tested the sprint cars. \u201cFans are going to love them.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Kemp, a veteran motorsports promoter, has developed a strict set of specifications that includes mandatory specified parts based around the Chevy Performance 602 sealed engine.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cWith the rules now in publication, the fun work will begin working with tracks, like Plymouth Speedway, and the numerous potential participants,\u201d Kemp said. \u201cI have taken calls from nearly every state with great interest.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The rules for the inaugural season are available at http:\/\/100.24.212.105\/category\/divisions\/pro-sprint<\/a> or can be received via emailed by contacting Larry Kemp at lkemp@dirtcar.com<\/a>.
