CONCORD, NC — Oct 27, 2017 — During night two of OneDirt World Short Track Championship the DRIVEN Racing Oil Crate Sportsman saw 33 entries try their hand at transferring into Saturday’s 20-lap Feature.

The big storyline of the DRIVEN Racing Oil Crate Sportsman division came on lap two of Heat 1 when a wreck involved the fast qualifier, Damon Crump. The Charlotte, NC driver sustained enough damage that required the No. 18 to be towed to the infield, effectively ending his night early. Crump will have to rely on qualifying for Saturday’s Feature by transferring in through the Last Chance Showdown.

A common bond across the three heats was that all winner’s hailed from The Palmetto State, South Carolina. Andrew Blackwood of Rock Hill, SC; Marty Reid of Clover, SC; and Mitchell Duvell of Gaffney, SC picked up the victory in their respective heat races. In all, 18 drivers transferred into Saturday’s Feature.
