Weedsport, NY<\/strong> \u2014 June 1, 2010 \u2013 By Tom Skibinski, DIRTcar Racing Northeast PR Director A trio of Super DIRTcar Series shows mixed with a pair of extra-distance outings in both Sportsman and Pro Stock divisions fills the bill in Canada and the U.S. as traveling teams set out in search of valuable points toward DIRTcar Northeast\u2019s prized jewels.<\/p>\n Big-Blocks are back in action by mid-June with Grandview Speedway and Orange County Fair Speedway staging the first Super DIRTcar Series doubleheader of the season. Thunder On The Hill series promoter Bob Miller brings the \u2018Traffic Jam 100\u2019 back on tour June 15 at Grandview for the 12th time since luring the top Big-Block travelers to the Keystone State in 1998, just one day before \u2018The Big Show 2\u2019 presented by veteran racer Brett Hearn is held at Orange County on June 16. All eyes turn northward when the modernized Mohawk Int\u2019l Raceway hosts the monsters of the midway on June 23, ending with a $6,000-to-win 100-lapper in the Big-Block\/Small-Block shootout.<\/p>\n Cornwall (Ont.) Motor Speedway hosts its second championship trail event of the season, this time featuring leading Sportsman contenders on the racy quarter-miler June 13. The Sportsman tour goes mid-week as it accompanies the anticipated Big-Block invasion over the bridge to Hogansburg, N.Y. on Wed., June 23.<\/p>\n A first Pro Stock Series doubleheader in French territory attracts DIRTcar Northeast\u2019s leading full-fender campaigners into Quebec as autodromes Granby and Drummond present back-to-back 50-lappers, each paying $1,000-to-win. Granby leads off on Friday, June 25 with Drummond closing out the twin-bill the following night to completer rounds 2&3 of the \u201910 tour.<\/p>\n Overall Hoosier-VP Racing Fuels Mr. DIRTcar champions will be determined in 2010 by tabulating points earned in the Super DIRTcar Series for Big-Block Modifieds and the Mr. DIRTcar Championship Series for 358-Modified, Sportsman and Pro Stock teams, along with bonuses collected at a driver\u2019s respective home track in divisional DIRTcar Regional Racing Series. Those valuable track bonus points will be issued after Labor Day with each licensed track champion receiving 1,000 points down to the 25th-place driver who earns 900 at his best track during the year.<\/p>\n To stay on top of all the DIRTcar NE Series headline stories during the season, log into http:\/\/www.dirtcar.com and highlight \u2018Series\u2019 at the top then choose Mr. DIRTcar Series.
