With persistent rain in the LaFargeville, NY area, and more expected through Friday, according to Precision Weather Service, DIRTcar Northeast and Can-Am Speedway officials have agreed to cancel Friday\u2019s portion of Thunder in the Thousand Islands weekend headlined by the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The decision comes after working closely with Meteorologist Wayne Mahar from Precision Weather Service and monitoring the local weather.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Saturday\u2019s portion of the event, highlighted by the return of the Super DIRTcar Series for the first time since 2022 is still on as scheduled. Friday\u2019s cancellation gives track crews the chance to provide the best possible racing surface for Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
