Quincy, Ill. – July 6, 2012 – Michael Long of hometown Quincy, Ill., earned his second DIRTcar Summit Modified Nationals victory on Friday night capturing the rain-shortened event at Quincy Raceways. Long pocketed $650 for the win.
Long bested defending Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals Champion Mike Harrison of Highland, Ill., before a thunderstorm shortened the race, reducing it to eight laps. Harrison finished second and Steven DeLonjay of Quincy, Ill., finished third. Donovan Lodge of Moline, Ill., and David Wietholder of Liberty, Ill., rounded out the top five.
