With heavy morning showers and weather models showing more heavy rain this afternoon, DIRTcar Northeast and Brewerton Speedway officials have agreed to cancel the 31st Hurricane Harvey 75.
The decision was made after working with Wayne Mahar and Precision Weather Service, who has been following the weather all week. The event will not be made up.
Super DIRT Week 52 now turns its attention to the first day of on-track action at Oswego Speedway on Wednesday, Oct. 9. But before the cars hit the track, the front midway will open at 11 a.m. and host a concert by country musician Nick Start at 12 p.m.
The fan-favorite City of Oswego Parade, featuring 50 race cars parading through the streets of Oswego, will start at 12 p.m.
On-track action starts at 2 p.m. with practice for the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds and DIRTcar Pro Stocks. Super Six Time Trials will start at 3:30 p.m. and opening ceremonies for the Qualifying Heats will start at 7 p.m.
After the racing, there will be a DTD Live post-race show in the backstretch midway and a DJ Party at the Island Stage at 9 p.m.
