Drummondville, Que. – Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 –DIRTcar Correspondent – It was ‘’Win, sleep, repeat’’ for David Hebert as he led the entire feature and captured a second DIRTcar 358-Modified Series race in a row.

‘’The car was great again tonight, I can’t thank my team enough,’’ mentioned an ecstatic Hebert in the winner’s circle. ‘’Some rubber was laid down the track and I had to play conservative a bit in the final portion of the race,’’ said Hebert who is also planning to race at Super DIRT Week “we are making our final plans to race down at Oswego, we will try to be there!’’

Finishing second, Carey Terrance fought hard for his position, ‘’it was a good race, we battled with a lot of drivers, the track at the end had a lot of rubber and we didn’t have anything left for Hebert at the end.’’

Completing the podium was Steve Bernard who had a superb race, “the car was great, the track was also really good as we gained several position and finally got a finish this year at Drummond.”

David Hebert and Eric Landry led the field of 30 cars to the green flag as Hebert was the early leader with Sebastien Gougeon making his way to second as Eric Landry stopped in the backstretch while running in the top 5 and caution was out on lap 4.

Hebert remained first with Gougeon and Gino Clair now third as Gabriel Richer stopped in turn 2 and the yellow lights are out.

Hebert was leading the way as Bernard passed Gino Clair for fourth.

By lap 50, Hebert had a 3-second lead over Carey Terrance, Mario Clair, Steve Bernard and Gino Clair completed the top 5.

Current point’s leader Chris Raabe cracked the top 5 on lap 70 after starting 15th. Raabe was able to pass Steve Bernard on lap 78 for fourth while a good battle was occurring for second between Terrance and Mario Clair for several laps, Clair made a great move and took second on lap 82 and had his sights on the leader.
