A visit to Canada awaits the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series, as the top Small Block drivers in the Northeast prepare for their final battle of 2025.

Brockville Ontario Speedway in Brockville, ON, will host the season finale on Saturday, Oct. 18, with drivers battling in a 100-lap Feature paying $10,000-to-win (CAN).

After the race, the 2025 Series champion will officially be crowned.

Joining the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds is the DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series, and the track’s Street Stocks and Vintage divisions.

Here’s a look at what to watch for at Brockville:

All Wrapped Up: Entering Saturday’s DIRTcar 358 Modified Series season finale, 2023 Series champion Mat Williamson has mathematically secured his second championship.

However, he’s still searching for another victory to finish out the season. The St. Catharines, ON driver has four Series wins this season, including his third-straight Salute to the Troops 150 triumph last weekend at Oswego Speedway.

If he adds a fifth win to his resume, he’ll tie former Series champions Steve Paine and Erick Rudolph for fifth on the Series all-time wins list with 19 career victories.

“Money Mat” is searching for his second Series win at Brockville, after taking the checkered flag during Fall Nationals in 2018.

Hollywood Consistency: For the second straight season, Felix Roy is on pace to deliver a top-two points finish on the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series. The defending Series champion owns a 35-point advantage over Mike Mahaney for second. However, he’s aiming for another milestone on Sunday at Brockville.

Despite his consistency, the Napierville, QC, driver has yet to reach Victory Lane with the Series, a feat he’ll try to accomplish this weekend at Brockville.  He’ll have to better his finishes, though, as he’s yet to earn a top 10 in three previous DIRTcar 358 Modified Series starts at the 1/4-mile track.

Mahaney, meanwhile, aims to make up ground on Roy after finishing 22nd last week at Oswego. Like Roy, the Elizabethtown, NY driver has made three DIRTcar 358 Modified Series starts at Brockville, his best finish a seventh in 2019.

Brockville’s Best: While Williamson, Roy, and Mahaney aim for a strong end of the season, they’ll have to contend with Brockville’s best 358 Modified competitors to accomplish that feat.

Look no further than Tristan Draper, who earned his first Series victory in this event last season. The Harrowsmith, ON, driver is also the 2025 track champion, earning three wins, 11 top fives, and 12 top 10s in 13 starts. In six Series starts, Draper has earned two top 10 finishes.

Joining Draper as a contender this weekend is Johnathon Ferguson, who added a win, eight top fives, and 11 top 10s this season. The Prescott, ON driver has yet to make a Series start; however, he aims to accomplish that at his home track this weekend.

One more driver to keep an eye on is Kyle Dingwall, who owns a DIRTcar 358 Modified Series win at the track in 2016. Dingwall, from Williamsburg, ON, finished third in the track’s standings, reaching Victory Lane once, along with seven top fives and 11 top 10s. Dingwall has finished in the top 10 in three of his last four Series starts at Brockville, including a sixth in last year’s event.
