Corcoran to promote DIRTcar’s flagship Weedsport Speedway this fall

Canandaigua promoter will run two huge events at the Cayuga County Fairgrounds track

WEEDSPORT, N.Y. — Aug. 18, 2011 — DIRTcar Racing has reached an agreement with Canandaigua Motorsports Park promoter Jeremie Corcoran to run two events at Weedsport Speedway, formerly known as The New Cayuga County Speedway.

The Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds will invade the historic track at the Cayuga County Fairgrounds on Sunday, Sept. 4, for a 100-lap event. Then, to help launch the 40th anniversary of Super DIRT Week, Corcoran and Weedsport Speedway will feature a DIRTcar 358-Modified Series event.

“We are excited to have Jeremie promote these two great events at the track synonymous with DIRTcar racing for more than 30 years,” said DIRTcar Northeast General Manager Jeff Hachmann. “Jeremie has done an outstanding job in making Canandaigua a racing destination and we expect he will do the same at Weedsport.”
