With the Super DIRTcar Series officially kicking off the Big-Block Modified schedule in March, three more divisions get underway in April as competition towards the crowning of overall Hoosier Tire-VP Racing Fuels Mr. DIRTcar Champions in 2010 swings into full gear. Three tracks play host to five events involving all four touring classes.
Big-Block title contenders return to action on April 10 when Fulton Speedway stages the ‘VP Racing Fuels Spring Fever 100’ to lead off the Central New York circuit. That same Saturday evening, Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman point chasers begin their quest at Black Rock Speedway and follow up with round number two at Can-Am Motorsports Park the third weekend in April. Top 358-Modified teams launch their own championship trail doubling up with Sportsman at Can-Am on April 17, while that same LaFargeville, N.Y. oval resumes activity April 18 with the annual Pro Stock Series lid-lifter.
Hoosier-VP Mr. DIRTcar champs in 2010 will once again be determined by tabulating points earned in the Super DIRTcar Series for Big-Block Modifieds and the Mr. DIRTcar Championship Series for 358-Modified, Sportsman and Pro Stock teams, along with bonuses collected at a driver’s respective home track in each divisional DIRTcar Regional Racing Series. Those valuable track bonus points will be issued after Labor Day with each licensed track champion receiving 1,000 points down to the 25th-place driver who earns 900 at his best track during the year.
