SEF Secures Major Sponsorship Deal For Syracuse 200

Super Dirt Week

Super Dirt Week

Syracuse, NYSept. 13, 2010 — DIRTcar announced today that SEF Small Engine Fuels produced by VP Racing Fuels will be title sponsor of the 2010 running of the 200-mile Super DIRT Week finale featuring the Big-Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series on Oct. 10 at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY.

The 39th Annual SEF Small Engine Fuels 200 Presented by Ferris/Snapper/Simplicity is the most historic dirt racing event in the Northeast each year and the second largest motorsports event of any kind in the state of New York. In addition to the nearly 100,000 fans who attend Super DIRT Week, nearly half a million viewers will watch the national television coverage on SPEED.

VP’s SEF94 is an ethanol-free unleaded fuel that solves problems associated with ethanol-laden street gas, which degrades the fuel systems in portable gasoline-powered equipment such as lawn mowers, chain saws, generators, weed eaters and snow blowers. In a testament to its quality and dependability, SEF has become popular with Fire & Rescue departments where gas-powered emergency equipment such as cutting tools need to start fast each and every time.

Running just before weather begins to turn cold, the SEF Small Engine Fuels 200 is a perfect reminder that SEF is an excellent long-term storage fuel, allowing quick starts even after equipment sits idle for many months. SEF 94 for 4-cycles and SEF 40:1 and 50:1 premixed products for 2-strokes are available in quarts, pails or drums from VP direct, VP fuel dealerships and many popular lawn and garden and outdoor power equipment stores.

“After two years of partnering with DIRTcar Racing, we are very pleased to become the title sponsor of such an exciting and significant event in dirt track racing,” said Jim Kelly, VP’s Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing. “The SEF Small Engine Fuels 200 is a one-of-a-kind race—an event with such a rich history and bright future. We have been fueling DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds on the track for many years, and now our SEF brand is fueling 2-stroke and 4-stroke small engines.”

“VP Racing Fuels has invested heavily in DIRTcar and dirt track racing over the past few years and won over the majority of our racers in the process. It’s great that they now have a product for our fans and we think that the sponsorship is a great fit with our existing partner, Ferris/Snapper/Simplicity mowers,” said DIRTcar’s Director of Marketing & Sales Jeff Hachmann.
