With four inches of snow falling in the LaFargeville, NY area and more snow and rain expected throughout the week, Super DIRTcar Series, DIRTcar Northeast, and Can-Am Speedway officials have postponed the Thunder in the Thousand Islands weekend.
Series and track officials are searching for a viable date to reschedule the Super DIRTcar Series portion of the weekend. The DIRTcar Sportsman North Region will run on Friday, April 25, while the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series will join the Pabst Shootout with a DIRTcar Sportsman Central/North Region combo on Wednesday, July 2.

The Beasts of the Northeast will continue its high-octane show on Friday, April 18, at Albany-Saratoga Speedway in Malta, NY, for the 60th Anniversary Celebration.
Defending Series champion Mat Williamson will be on the hunt for his third straight Series win at Albany-Saratoga Speedway, with 10-time champion Matt Sheppard and 2021 track champion Anthony Perrego aiming to keep “Money Mat” out of Victory Lane. They’ll have to contend with defending Albany-Saratoga track champion Peter Britten, and Jack Lehner, who won three times at the “Great Race Place” in 2024.

The DIRTcar 358 Modified Series kicks off its 2025 season on Saturday, April 19, at Lebanon Valley Speedway. They’ll be joined by the DIRTcar Sportsman Series East Region.
