Weedsport, New York – Jimmy Horton drove one, so did Chuck Akulis & Pete Corey too. Rene Charland was an ace in one and Gary Reddick drove one but added a “V”. Even Brett Hearn drove one for his “Buds”, and today Chad Brachmann continues to win with one, strapped to a small block at Ransomville and wherever the road takes him. Different era’s, different driving styles, one number. “3”.
This partial list shows the power of a singular number. In Nascar circles, “3” stands for just one man now. But, on the dirt, on our tracks, of all sizes and shapes, in every division from streamlined beauties to loveable ugly ducklings on four wheels, from Accord to Can-Am, down to Selinsgrove and New Egypt, to Ransomville and Black Rock, I-88 too, then back around the horn to Fulton, Five Mile & a place called Penn Can. Woodhull, Rolling Wheels and Brewerton, And if your eyes can adjust quickly enough, you’ll even spot a “3” or three at speed on the Moody Mile, on any given night, you will get to see your share of good old #3’s.
Today, 630 honorary “Hall of Famers” are coming together to celebrate their favorite drivers who’s cars were adorned with that “#3” as they continue the “Countdown to Induction Sunday”.

The sport of dirt track racing continues to support and grow an all inclusive and accessible sport people & families of all backgrounds to follow, participate in & enjoy at all levels. Racing celebrates it’s pioneers, innovators and legends with the respect and dignity that no other sport can, or ever will.
With the Hall of Fame fans driving the “Countdown to Induction Sunday” on Facebook to just 4 more days, by celebrating the wins and triumphs of all of their favorite drivers, it was only fitting that the fans get a chance to win too. The Dirt Motorsports Hall of Fame, in partnership with two great partners, has been able to give back to these great fans with two very special promotions.
Fulton Speedway’s Cory Reed, Dave Medler and the Wight family have come on board with a special Hall of Fame Package and will be giving a lucky Hall of Fame facebook fan 2 great passes (not a bad seat in the house) to the Memorial Day Salute, presented by Ehrlich Pest Controls, coming up this Saturday night at the Fulton Speedway.
