Jocelyn Roy begins title defense at home track
WEEDSPORT, NY – June 1, 2015 – The 2015 DIRTcar Pro Stock Series will begin a seven-race schedule at Autodrome Granby in Granby, Quebec Friday, June 12.
Autodrome Granby is the home track of defending DIRTcar Pro Stock Series champion Jocelyn Roy of Ste-Helene, Quebec. The 50-lap event is expected to draw the best of the class from north and south of the Canadian/New York border.
Roy has finished 2nd and 4th in the first two regular season events on the Granby half-mile. Dave Bissonette and Francois Adams have a win apiece. Granby regulars Alain Brochu and Stephane Lemire are also off to a strong start.
The DIRTcar Pro Stock Series moves to Fonda Speedway in Fonda, NY on Thursday, June 18. Rob Yetman of Castleton, NY, a former series champion and the winner of the 2014 NAPA Super DIRT Week Pro Stock event at Syracuse, is expected to challenge the full-series entrants.
Event number three in the series will take place at Le RPM Speedway in Richelieu, Quebec Saturday, July 4.
The other stops on the seven-race tour are Albany-Saratoga Speedway in Malta, NY (July 24), Cornwall Speedway in Cornwall, Ontario (September 6), a return to Fonda (September 26) and the season finale at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse , NY Sunday, October 11 as part of NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week XLIV.
