The DIRTcar Northeast Fall Nationals was the biggest racing event ever staged at Brockville Ontario Speedway in October of 2009. The track has begun the countdown to the second annual event at the ‘Beast of the East’, October 15-17, 2010.
What do you do as an encore to the biggest event you`ve ever had? Well you just make it the biggest DIRTcar Racing weekend ever held in Canada the next time.
The Big-Block Modified tour has been added to the 2010 extravaganza as it highlights Sunday afternoon`s program along with the Vintage Car division that continues to grow at the Brockville track almost on a weekly basis. A three-day ticket for the weekend is now on sale for just $65, and $10 for kids under 12. Reserved seating is also available for all three days for an additional $15 with a ‘no-blanket’ policy in effect with no placing taking place prior to track opening for the day.
The agenda includes the Street Stock challenge and DIRTcar Pro Stock tour for the Full Fender on Friday night. Super 360 Saturday afternoon features the final event in the 2010 Mr. DIRTcar 358-Modified Series plus the Sprint Car Challenge. Big-Block Sunday features the stars of the Super DIRTcar Series for Big-Block Modifieds along with the final event in the Mr. DIRTcar Sportsman series and the Vintage Cars. Drivers will also be able to get some extra track time with practice for the Big-Blocks and Sportsman on Saturday.
Camping was very popular at the first Fall Nationals, and with just a cost of $20 per spot over the weekend, it promises to be again in 2010. The Saturday night party is back as well, with a barbeque and live band at the track.
The Speedway has also launched a lap sponsorship campaign for all four major races of the weekend. Lap sponsorship is available at $25 dollars a circuit for 100-lap Big-Block Modified clash, 358-Modified 100-lap season finale, 50-lap Sportsman season closer and the last event in the 2010 Pro Stock tour. For more information contact the Speedway office at 613-345-6324 or visit the souvenir stand any remaining race night.
