Act by Nov. 5 to reserve special rates for big celebration in Central New York
WEEDSPORT, N.Y. – Oct. 21, 2011 – The 2011 DIRTcar Racing Northeast Region series and weekly champions will be honored Saturday, Nov. 19, at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, N.Y.
The celebration will honor competitors, owners, sponsors and officials along with the 2011 Super DIRTcar Series, DIRTcar Racing Series and Mr. DIRTcar weekly champions.
The day will kick off with DIRTcar Promoter meetings from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and lead into the evening awards program for Big-Block Modified, 358-Modified, Sportsman Modified and Pro Stock championship teams, which is set to kick off with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m.
A number of rooms at Turning Stone have been reserved for race teams, sponsors and track personnel seeking overnight accommodations at the popular entertainment complex. To take advantage of the reserved rooms, reservations must be placed no later than Nov. 5. Turning Stone is centrally located, just off the New York State Thruway (I-90) in Verona, approximately 30 miles east of Syracuse. At Exit 33, go left at the traffic light on to Route 365, travel 1/4-mile south before turning left at Patrick Road.
The award-winning Turning Stone retreat lies between Utica and Rome amidst the farms and rolling hills of Central New York and close to the larger city of Syracuse. It is the fifth-largest tourist attraction in New York State and draws 4.5 million visitors annually, primarily from the United States and Canada.
