Quebec drivers ready to defend home turf against 2013 series champion and current point leader Dave Bissonnette
WEESPORT, N.Y. – Wednesday, June 11, 2014 – The DIRTcar Pro Stock Series is on a roll, and on Friday, June 20, it will be rolling to Autodrome Granby in Granby, Quebec. The 50-lapper at the semi-banked half-mile oval marks the second round for the full-fender series.
Defending champion Dave Bissonnette claimed victory in the DIRTcar Pro Stock Series opener Sunday, June 1, at Cornwall Motor Speedway, launching him to the point lead early in the season. The Cornwall, Ontario, driver fended off a fast Jocelyn Roy for the win.
“I saw that Jocelyn struggled a little on the high side and decided to try the bottom and it worked,” Bissonnette recalled of his struggle against Roy in victory lane.
As the series enters Quebec for the first time of 2014, strong contenders like Roy, who finished second at Cornwall Motor Speedway came within 10 points of claiming the Autodrome Granby Pro Stock Track Championship last year, may have an opportunity to close in on point leader Bissonnette.
Adult general admission for Round 2 of the DIRTcar Pro Stock Series at Autodrome Granby is $21. For more information, visit www.autodromegranby.com or www.dirtcar.com.
