Less than 21 days remain until the 2026 DIRTcar Pro Stock Series champion is crowned at Super DIRT Week 54. That means there are only two more stops before the finale at Oswego Speedway.
First, the Series stops at Albany-Saratoga Speedway as part of Malta Massive Weekend on Saturday, Sept. 26. The top full-fender drivers in the Northeast will battle in a 30-lap Feature paying $1,000-to-win.
Joining the DIRTcar Pro Stock Series is the Super DIRTcar Series and the track’s Limited Sportsman division.

The DIRTcar Pro Stock Series stop at Albany-Saratoga is part of a Super DIRT Week preview, as all four DIRTcar Northeast divisions are in action during Malta Massive Weekend. On Friday, Sept. 25, the DIRTcar 358 Modified and DIRTcar Sportsman Series will kick off the weekend before the Big Block and Pro Stocks take center stage on Saturday.
Here’s a look at what to watch for at Albany-Saratoga:
Closing in on the Title: In his first season battling for the DIRTcar Pro Stock title, Bastien Caron has been consistently strong in 2026. The Inverness, QC driver has finished in the top five in every race except for the Series opener at Utica-Rome Speedway. Those numbers include a win at Cornwall Motor Speedway and three podium finishes.
However, Saturday’s Series stop will be the first time he’s raced at the Malta, NY track in his career, giving his closest championship rival, Pete Stefanski, a chance to close the gap.
Stefanski, a six-time DIRTcar Pro Stock Series champion, enters the weekend 40 points behind the Canadian driver and returns to a track where he’s had recent success. The North Tonawanda, NY driver won the track championship in 2025 and finished second at his last stop earlier this month.
While Stefanski has had success at Albany-Saratoga, he still lacks a Series victory there. If he wins this weekend, it’ll be his 29th career Series triumph.
Back in the Capital Region: Entering this weekend, eight points separate Devon Camenga and Jason Casey in the battle for third in the standings. And while neither of them raced at Albany-Saratoga weekly in 2026, both Capital Region-based drivers have found success at the “Great Race Place.”
Camenga, from Troy, NY, has three top fives and five top 10s in eight Series starts at the 3/8-mile oval, including podium finishes in 2020 and 2024. He’s searching for his second career Series triumph after winning last year’s I Love NY 50 at Super DIRT Week.
Casey, meanwhile, also has three top fives and five top 10s in eight starts at Albany-Saratoga. The Canaan, CT driver’s best finish was a second in 2024. He’s searching for his first career Series win.
Stars of the Great Race Place: Like Mohawk International Raceway last week, Albany-Saratoga Speedway boasts one of the toughest Friday night fields for the DIRTcar Pro Stocks.
This season, Kyle Hoard led the group and won his first track championship. The Queensbury, NY driver won the title with one victory and edged out veteran Kim Duell for the top spot.
Hoard has a top five and six top 10s in nine DIRTcar Pro Stock Series starts and earned his best finish during last year’s Malta Massive Weekend, when he finished second.
Duell, from Porters Corners, NY, also had one points-paying victory in 2026, along with a non-point win on opening night, and two more victories after the championship was decided. He’s finished on the podium in each of his last four starts at Albany-Saratoga, but like Hoard, is searching for his first career win.
The driver with the most points-paying wins at the track in 2026 was Rich Crane, who also won during Malta Massive Weekend in 2022. Crane, from Canaan, CT, has three wins at Albany-Saratoga this season and aims for his third career Series victory.
