WHAT TO WATCH FOR: DIRTcar Pro Stock Series Makes Lone Quebec Stop at Autodrome Drummond

Denis Gauvreau and Jocelyn Roy
Joe Grabianowski

The Northeast’s best Pro Stock drivers are back in action this weekend with a visit to Quebec.

The DIRTcar Pro Stock Series heads to Autodrome Drummond for the first time since 2018 for Race Two of the 2025 season.

Drivers will battle in a 30-lap Feature paying $1,350-to-win (CAN) at the “F1 of Dirt.”

Joining the DIRTcar Pro Stock Series on the card will be a full night of racing, including the DIRTcar Modifieds and DIRTcar Sportsman.

Here’s a look at What to Watch For at Autodrome Drummond:

Return to Drummond: The DIRTcar Pro Stock Series has raced at Drummond seven times in its history. But Saturday’s Feature will be the first appearance since 2018.

All eight races have been won by a Series champion, meaning a win at the 1/2-mile dirt track could provide the spark needed to win the 2025 title.

Three-time Series champion Jocelyn Roy has won three times at the track, including the two Features in 2017 and 2018.

Along with Roy, four-time Series champion Pete Stefanski, three-time Series champion Joey Ladouceur, and 2017 champion Rob Yetman have all earned Series victories at Drummond.

Ward’s Momentum: While Stefanski and Roy aim to add to their Drummond win total, Burton Ward enters the event with the Series points lead after winning the Series opener at Cornwall Motor Speedway last month.

The Massena, NY driver’s Series win is his only Feature event victory of 2025. He’s made 12 starts so far this season between Cornwall and Mohawk International Raceway, earning one top five and 10 top 10s.

Ward has not made a Series start at Drummond.

The Canadian Contingent: Along with Roy, several Canadian drivers are aiming to take home Saturday’s $1,350 (CAN) winner’s purse.

That group is led by Marc Lalonde, who finished fifth in the Series opener at Cornwall and has three Feature wins this season. The Plantagenet, ON driver’s best finish at Drummond with the Series is a ninth in 2018. However, he does have a victory at the track, earning a Farnham Ale & Lager Pro Stock Series win in 2023.

Bruno Cyr, who finished second at Cornwall, will also chase Saturday’s checkered flag. The St. George, QC driver has made five Series starts at Drummond, earning one top five in 2017. His best finish overall at the track is a second to Lalonde two years ago.

Lalonde and Cyr are searching for their second career Series victories.

A driver aiming for his fourth Series win is Denis Gauvreau, who won at the World Short Track Championshipat The Dirt Track at Charlotte last season. Gauvreau, from Chelsea, QC, scored his best career finish at Drummond during the Series stop in 2008, finishing second to Stefanski.
