Can-Am Speedway’s Showdown in September weekend will be even bigger in 2026.
DIRTcar Northeast and track officials have rescheduled the remainder of the Pabst Shootout featuring the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series and DIRTcar Sportsman Series on Thursday, Sept. 10, kicking off a three-night weekend at the “Nasty Track of the North.”
The DIRTcar 358 Modified Series and DIRTcar Sportsman Series will pick up their events where they left off when the event was rained out on Wednesday, July 1. The Sportsman will not receive points, as both the North and Central Region standings will be complete. The event will remain a full-point show for 358 Modified teams.
Fans who saved their tickets and wristbands from the July 1st event can use them on Thursday, Sept. 10 only.
Joining the two DIRTcar Northeast Series on that night will be the track’s 602 Crate Sprint Cars.
With the Pabst Shootout rescheduled to Thursday of the Showdown in September, Can-Am now hosts a three-night weekend, including the DIRTcar 358 Modified Series on Sept. 10 and Sept. 11.
The Empire Super Sprints will also run double features on Friday night’s card.
Then, the Super DIRTcar Series makes its lone stop at the track on Saturday, Sept. 12, for the R.D. Hutchinson Memorial. Joining the Beasts of the Northeast will be the DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series.
