Autodrome Drummond points leader Jacob Nadeau successfully defended home territory against the DIRTcar Sportsman Series by claiming the 50-lap North Region Feature over fellow Quebecois Alexandre Rodier and Bryan Preville.
Nadeau, from Yamaska, QC, was fast all night, winning his Heat Race and picking the pole for the Feature. However, at the drop of the green flag, front row starter Alexandre Rodier jumped out into an early lead.
Rodier, from Saint-Germain de Grantham, QC, kept his No.111 in front of the 30-car field until lap six when he was overtaken by Nadeau. Although Nadeau went on to lead the rest of the way, the battle for the rest of the Top 10 was tight.
Early on, Shane Pecore and Tristan Ladouceur were locked in a struggle for the final podium spot before both fell back to Bryan Preville, who charged from seventh. Preville, from Sorel-Tracy, QC, battled up to second, passing Tristan Ladouceur, before Rodier wrestled the spot away on Lap 29.
Ladouceur crossed the line fourth, and Pecore rounded out the top five.
With a sixth-place finish, Brennon Moore leads the North Region standings by four points over Ladouceur. Pecore is in third, 10 points behind the No. 35B.
