A bullring battle awaits the DIRTcar Sportsman Championship Series for its final points-paying event of 2024.

The Series makes its lone stop at Brockville Ontario Speedway in Brockville, ON, on Saturday, Oct. 19, as part of the Fall Nationals.

Drivers will battle in a 40-lap, $2,100-to-win (Canadian), Feature culminating with the crowning of the 2024 Series champion.

For more on the DIRTcar Northeast, follow the DIRTcar Facebook page and the Series’ X/(Twitter) page.

Here’s a look at What to Watch for at Brockville:

The Hunt For Three: After a runner-up finish in the Chevrolet Performance 75 at Super DIRT Week, Cody McPherson has opened a 41-point advantage over Gavin Eisele in the 2024 DIRTcar Sportsman Series title race.

If the St. Catharines, ON driver finishes 20th or better in Saturday’s finale, he’ll win his third Series title.

However, he’s never earned a Series win at Brockville. He’s made three Series starts at the Eastern Ontario Bullring, with a fourth-place finish in 2011 and 2022.

A win this weekend would be his 28th career Series victory.

Not Done Yet: While Eisele has work to do this weekend to win the title, he’s been successful at Brockville in 2024.

The LaFargeville, NY driver finished second in the DIRTcar Sportsman North Region opener on Memorial Day weekend, a race he led before a caution in the race’s final 10 laps.

Eisele has two Series victories this season, winning the championship season opener at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park before outdueling McPherson at Fulton Speedway during SummerFAST.

Herrington’s House: To win a Sportsman Feature at Brockville, you’ll likely have to contend with track champion Bobby Herrington.

The Elginburg, ON driver won four of the track’s 11 Features in 2024 and only finished outside the top five once.

Herrington is a two-time DIRTcar Sportsman Series winner, his last triumph coming at Brockville during Fall Nationals in 2022.
