As the end of July nears, so does the battle for the DIRTcar Sportsman Series Central Region championship.

Drivers will visit Fulton Speedway on Saturday, July 26, for the Central Region finale, where one driver will be crowned champion following a 30-lap, $1,000-to-win Feature.

Joining the DIRTcar Sportsman Series are the track’s DIRTcar 358 Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, and Novice Sportsman.

Here’s a look at What to Watch for at Fulton:

And Then There Were Two: Entering this weekend, Gavin Eisele has a 14-point lead over Tyler Corcoran in the battle for the Central Region title.

Eisele extended his points lead last weekend with a podium finish at Land of Legends Raceway and has found success at Fulton before. The last time the Series battled at the 3/8-mile track during the 2024 championship season, Eisele outdueled Cody McPherson for the win.

The LaFargeville, NY driver is searching for his fourth career Series victory.

Corcoran, meanwhile, hasn’t reached Victory Lane in Series competition at Fulton. The Central Square, NY driver has made six Series starts at Fulton, earning a fourth as his best finish twice. He’s aiming for his 10th career Series triumph.

Emmett’s House: No one has been better at Fulton this season than Emmett Waldron. The Savannah, NY, driver, who is third in Central Region points, has three wins and hasn’t finished outside the top five in seven races there in 2025.

However, despite having a win during the Sportsman portion of the track’s Outlaw 200 weekend, he’s yet to win a Series Feature at Fulton. His best Series finish was a fifth last August.

Fulton’s Best: Along with Waldron, four other drivers have reached Victory Lane at the track during the 2025 season.

Hunter Hollenbeck, Jimmy Moyer, Brett Sears, and Tony Finch II have all scored wins this year and are looking to grab another with $1,000 on the line Saturday night.

All four of those drivers are searching for their first career Series victories, and only Finch and Hollenbeck have come close to a Series triumph. Finch’s best finish is a third at Brewerton Speedway earlier this season, while Hollenbeck’s is a fourth at Weedsport Speedway.
