For the first time in his career, Jake Jackson is a winner at The Dirt Track at Charlotte.

The 19-year-old from Gilkey, NC, dominated the RaceQuip Mid-East/Crate Racin’ USA Street Stocks main event Sunday night, leading all 15 laps around the 4/10-mile oval and crossing the finish line nearly six-and-a-half seconds ahead of runner-up Jeff Parsons to bank his first career Feature win at the World Short Track Championship.

“It feels great,” Jackson said. “I’ve been coming here for about five years, and it feels good to finally have some good luck. We’ve had bad luck all year, and it feels like a pretty big breakthrough.”

Jackson had made three previous starts in the multi-division event, making his first appearances in the 602 Late Model class in 2022 and 2023 before moving to the Street Stock division for 2024 and 2025.

In his first night piloting Mitchell Henderson’s No. 17 — the same car which South Carolina-native Devon Morgan piloted to the win in 2022 — Jackson was untouchable, grabbing the lead on the opening lap and running away from the field over the next 14 circuits. By the checkered flag, he had amassed a full-straightaway gap over the rest of the top five as he cruised to the $2,000 payday.
