John Demoss Da’ Man in American Modified Series Action at Bloomington Speedway

American Modified SeriesLawrenceburg, IN-August 14, 2010- The American Modified Series presented by Force Fuel and Engine Conditioner would make its first-ever visit to the Mike and Judy Miles promoted Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, IN on Friday evening and hometown racer John Demoss of Bloomington, IN would pick up the $1,500 payday presented by Indiana Stone Works and JB Salvage. The race was originally scheduled for Friday August 13, but was postponed one week due to extreme heat and humidity.

The win for Demoss would be his first with the series aboard his Hoosier Drywall, Hoosier Concrete sponsored #79D race car. Brother Clint Demoss, also of Bloomington, IN, would take runner-up honors to his brother in the event, with Matt Boknecht of Seymour, IN, Denny Schwartz of Ashmore, IL, and Matt Bex of Avoca, IN completing the top five. The remainder of the top ten would be Brian Shaw, Joey Kramer, Greg Amick, Bradley Sterrett, and Rusty Griffaw.

In preliminary action, Jacob Webber was the SPEC Race Engines top qualifier with a lap of 12.804 seconds. John Demoss would win Wehr’s Machine and Racing Products heat one, Clint Demoss would win PPM Racing Products heat two, Denny Schwartz would win Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil heat three, and Joey Kramer would win Wiles Driveshafts heat four. The B-Mains would be captured by Eillott Despain and Everett Bradham, while the series provisional went to Mike Selby.

The next events for the American Modified Series presented by Force Fuel and Engine Conditioner be the 2010 Season Championship Weekend and will take place on Friday September 17 at Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH, paying $1,500 to win, and lastly, the season finale on September 18 at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, IN, paying $2,000 to win.

The American Modified Series presented by Force Fuel and Engine Conditioner will present UMP Modified sanctioned dirt track sports entertainment at racing venues throughout Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio.
