Paducah, Ky. – June 29, 2012 – Matt Mevert of Steeleville, Ill., became the fourteenth different driver in 15 races to win during the DIRTcar Summit Modified Nationals tour Friday night at Paducah International Raceway. Mevert pocketed a $1,000 winner’s check for his efforts.
Mevert bested defending Summit Modified Nationals Champion Mike Harrison of Highland, Ill., in the 20-lap showdown. Harrison finished second ahead of Mooresville, N.C., driver Nick Hoffman. Ray Bollinger of Kewanee, Ill., finished fourth and Dustin Isom of Hopkinsville, Ky., rounded out the top five.

The DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals returns to action Saturday night at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., where defending champion Mike Harrison of Highland, Ill., won his fifth of eight Summit Modified Nationals events in 2011.
