WEEDSPORT, N.Y. – May 27, 2016 – The DIRTcar 358-Modifieds have a busy weekend ahead as the Central and Western regions host events and the second scheduled tour event takes place at the ‘Big R,’ Ransomville Speedway on Memorial Day.

Brockville Ontario Speedway kicks off the weekend’s events with Ogilvies Round 1 on Saturday. The 358-Modifieds take on the track for the first of three trips for the Central Region this season. For more information and to learn how to purchase tickets, visit BrockvilleSpeedway.com.

The Big R’s big Memorial Day event is joined by the Investors Services Sportsman, Gippsters Collision 4 Bangers and fireworks to cap off the night’s events. “We have had a thrilling start to the 358-Modified season so far,” said DIRTcar Northeast Director, Series and Sanctioning Mike Perrotte. “We look forward to great events this weekend including the big return to Ransomville Speedway for this special Memorial Day weekend event.”

So far in the still young season, six different drivers have claimed an event win.

In the Eastern Region, David Hebert scored his first DIRTcar 358-Modified win of the season at LeRPM Speedway. Steve Bernier followed that up last weekend with a win at Autodrome Granby. In the Central Region, Chris Raabe, who came just short of scoring the tour championship in 2015, scored his first win of the season. ‘The Doctor’ Danny Johnson scored at Cornwall last weekend. In the Western Region, Mike Bowman picked up the win at Merrittville.

On the DIRTcar 358-Modified Tour, Erick Rudolph scored the first win of 2016 at Merritville Speedway on Monday. Rudolph won after a hard fought battle with Tyler McPherson and after he held off Danny Johnson.
