Alltel Wireless Continues As Title Sponsor Of The 38th Annual DIRTcar Nationals By UNOH

2009 DIRTcar NationalsCONCORD, N.C. — Jan. 23, 2009 — World Racing Group announced today that Alltel Wireless will continue in 2009 as the title sponsor of the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park. The 38th Annual Alltel DIRTcar Nationals By UNOH features the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, the World of Outlaws Late Model Series, the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series and UMP DIRTcar Racing.

With 12 consecutive nights of racing from Feb. 3-14 near Daytona Beach, Fla., the Alltel DIRTcar Nationals is the traditional launching pad for the racing season, with more than half a million dollars up for grabs. The Alltel DIRTcar Nationals at the high-speed half-mile oval in Barberville, Fla., is expecting to host more than 60 410-winged sprint cars, 100 dirt late models, 40 big block modifieds and 80 UMP DIRTcar Open-Wheel Modifieds, which are competing in a new special this year: The Gator Championship.
