Colorado Late Model Association DIRTcar Series Thunders into Colorado Motorsports Park

Colorado Late Model AssociationDupont,CO — The weekend of April 24th and 25th is probably going to be one of the best weekends of racing in the history of dirt racing in Colorado!

The weekend will start off at Colorado Motorsports Park on Saturday, April 24th with the 1st Annual “THUNDER IN THE ROCKIES”. This will be the first race for the Colorado Late Model Association DIRTCar Series since they have become a UMP DIRTcar Series and the first late model race ever at Colorado Motorsports Park. They are expecting cars from Colorado and several other states.

Also racing at the 1st Annual “THUNDER IN THE ROCKIES” will be the United Rebel Sprint Series. This will be the season opener for their Colorado series and they are also expecting drivers from Colorado and several other states. The IMCA Northern Sport Mods will be the final class racing at this event with one of their biggest purses of the year.

The weekend will continue at I-76 Speedway on Sunday, April 25th with the “ICE BREAKER”. The Colorado Late Model Association DIRTcar Series will run their only race of the season at I-76 Speedway at the “ICE BREAKER”.

The BST Modifieds will also be running their second race of their season at the “ICE BREAKER”. They hope to have even more cars at this race then they did at their season opener. Other classes racing at the “ICE BREAKER” will be the IMCA Northern Sport Mods, Street Stocks, Econos, and 600 Mini Sprints.

This will be the only time, in Colorado, that the Colorado Late Model Association DIRTcar Series and the URSS Sprints or BST Modifieds will race on the same night all year. So, either day their will be a great show so get out to one of these tracks and see some great racing.

Wreck-a-Mend Truck Repair has also committed to paying the winner of the Dash for Cash $100 at every Colorado Late Model Association DIRTcar Series race in 2010. So, the top to cars from each heat race will be in the Dash for Cash and have the chance to win an extra $100.
