Doubleheader Event Sets Up Massive Four Feature Race Program on Friday at Eldora

ROSSBURG, OH (courtesy of Eldora Speedway) — June 8, 2018 — Persistent rain and lightning forced Eldora Speedway officials to postpone Thursday night’s opening round of the 24th running of the $100,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream Weekend to Friday.

Rain interrupted qualifying time trials with eight of the 79 drivers on-site yet to take time, qualifying will completely restart for all competitors.

Conditions favorable to get the track surface back into raceable condition just did not develop.

The Grandstand, Pit Area and South Lot will be cleared at 10 a.m. Gates will open at 11 a.m. with Hot Laps beginning at 12 p.m. The full Thursday program will follow immediately thereafter. The facility will then be cleared during track preparation activities and those bearing Friday and multi-day passes re-admitted for the Friday night program.

Tennessee’s Mike Marlar had the provisional top speed of 117.94 mph when the rains hit.

The Tony Stewart Foundation 50/50 Raffle paid $4,005 to winning ticket A-3093991.

Full event information is available at EldoraSpeedway.com or by calling (937) 338-3815.
