Friday’s UMP DIRTcar Racing Summer Nationals Event At Brownstown Speedway Washed Out By Rain

Rain made its first appearance of the 2008 UMP DIRTcar Racing Summer Nationals, forcing the postponement of Friday night’s scheduled event at Brownstown Speedway.

The $10,000-to-win program at the quarter-mile oval was rescheduled for Fri., July 11, an open date on the Summer Nationals schedule preceding the finale of the grueling month-long tour on July 12 at Oakshade Raceway in Wauseon, Ohio.

UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals action will resume on Saturday night (June 14) at Kamp Motor Speedway in Boswell, Ind.

The tour, which opened on Thursday night at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway, is scheduled to contest 26 events in 31 days.
