RAIN STOPS DAY ONE OF UMP NATIONALS, FULL SHOW SATURDAY

Revised Time Schedule Sees Saturday Action Starting 12:30

ROSSBURG, OH (October 5) – Intermittent rain showers that moved into southwestern Ohio have altered the schedule for this weekend’s UMP DIRTcar National Championships at Eldora Speedway.  Originally scheduled for two-days, the racing program will now be contested tomorrow (Saturday, October 6) with a revamped time format.

Competitor registration and pit pass sales will continue as scheduled today (Friday, October 5), starting at 12 p.m.  Pit pass sales for the UMP National Championships are scheduled to resume tomorrow (Saturday, October 6) at 8 a.m., and the pit gates swing open at 9 a.m.   Under the revised format, practice laps for the UMP DIRTcar Modifieds are planned for 12:30 p.m., followed by their time trial runs.   The UMP DIRTcar Late Models will follow in the same order; with the Modified heat races and Late Model Race of Champions to round out the carried over portion from Friday night.   Ticket pricing for the entire show will remain at $20 (general admission) and $40 (pit pass).

Saturday night’s original agenda will not be affected.   A 6 p.m. start time will find, in order, Late Model heat races, Modified Race of Champions, B-Features for both classes and then conclude with a 25-lap, $3,000 to win, Modified A-Feature and a 40-lap, $5,000 to win, Late Model A-Feature.

Complete schedule and event information for the UMP DIRTcar National Championships, along with October 13’s UNOH Sprintacular and season-ending Blue Collar Bash on October 26-27-28, may be found on the track website www.EldoraSpeedway.com.  That link will also give complete details on Eldora’s new live pay-per-view option.   For the price of a single ticket, viewers can catch all of the UMP National Championship action via live streaming video, through their high-speed internet connection.
