Charleston,IL — June 18, 2009 — Early morning showers that rolled through the Charleston Speedway grounds Thursday have forced the cancellation of Night 6 of the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Tour.
No makeup was immediately announced for the 40-lap, $6,000-to-win race, although UMP DIRTcar and track officials are discussing possible options.
The “Hell Tour” will resume Friday night June 19 at Farmer City Raceway (Ill.) for a 40-lap, $10,000-to-win event.
Defending champion Dennis Erb holds a three point lead after his second win on the month long tour Wednesday night at Belle Clair Speedway in Belleville, Ill.
