Lake Cumberland Speedway to Move American Modified Series Make-Up Date

American Modified SeriesGlasgow, KY- May 18, 2011- Officials with the American Modified Series would like to announce they have been informed of a date change for an event was previously rained out earlier in the year at Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, KY.

Due to a scheduling conflict with some already scheduled Saturday and Sunday Memorial Day weekend UMP sanctioned events, Lake Cumberland Speedway track promoter Brandon Hardgrove has notified series race director Chad Yantz that the AMS series event that was rained out back on May 7 will now not take place on the originally scheduled make-up date of May 28.  The series and track apologizes for any inconvenience to racers and fans.  Series officials and the track are working to find a suitable date to add the event back on the schedule.

However, for those racers and fans that were at the May 7 event that was rained out, Lake Cumberland Speedway track promoter Brandon Hardgrove is hosting an event on Monday May 30 that will pay $1,000 to win for the track’s Modified division and racers and fans that have pit pass armbands and general admission tickets from the May 7 rainout can use those at that particular event.

The American Modified Series will now be off until Memorial Day weekend when the tour will make a Friday evening visit to the Kim and Kevin Moler promoted Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH on Friday May 27 for a $1,500 to win pints paying event.

The American Modified Series presents UMP Modified sanctioned dirt track sports entertainment at racing venues throughout Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Tennessee.  For more information concerning the American Modified Series, call series race director Chad Yantz at (606) 510-4836 or via the internet by visiting the series website at www.americanmodifiedseries.com.
