With only 36 days left until the gates open for practice day at the Bluegrass Bash 2007 presented by Hassy Chassis the entries are still coming in and the deadline is rapidly approaching. Feb 24th is the magic day the pre-entries must be post marked by and 36 drivers to date have taken advantage of the $50.00 savings by pre-entering. Pre-Entry is only $75.00 for the car and driver for the weekends events and the day of the race it will be $125.00. Many of the teams do not pre-enter simply because they want to keep their eyes on the sky and or are not sure if their rides are going to be finished in time. With speedweeks in Florida almost completed now and Steve Arpin rapping up the winter nationals title many of the teams are on their way back to the shops and will be preparing for the Bash which will run March 23rd and 24th at Western KY Speedway in Madisonville, KY.
The 2007 Bluegrass Bash presented by Hassy Chassis event t-shirts and sweatshirts will be arriving in the Bash headquarted on Friday Feb. 16th and will be available before the bash to those in and around the Owensboro, Madisonville,KY areas. Duck Graphics of Hildabran, NC have again gone above and beyond on the event shirts and Dale and his crew are an awesome bunch to work with. Tshirts will be sold for $20.00 each and Sweatshirts will be $25.00 each.
Just announced Kohl’s Racing Photos will be presenting the best appearing car at the bash a nice crisp $100.00 bill in memory of Henry’s wife. She passed away just over a month ago and was a huge race fan and supporter of Henry’s work. Other special awards for the Bash will be the $150.00 Fast Qualifier award by King Enterprises of Princeton, KY along with a 4′ trophis which will be awarded to the overall fastest qualifier. Soggy Bottom Raceway in Morgantown, KY is putting up a $500 bonus if the Fastest Qualifier can win his heat and win the Bash. Kool Performance of Evansville, IN has added a $100 bonus if the winner of the Bash is pre-entered for the event. Many more special awards will be given away over the weekend as well as a lucky fan in the grandstand will be taking home a $100 bill in a special give away which will be done using drivers in the feature event.
