Trent Young Takes American Modified Series Season Finale at Lawrenceburg Speedway

American Modified SeriesLawrenceburg, IN- September 18, 2010- The American Modified Series presented by Force Fuel and Engine Conditioner would conclude its inaugural season of UMP Modified competition on Saturday evening at the Dave Rudisell promoted Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, IN and second generation racer Trent Young of Crofton, KY would win his first series event of the season in the 2010 series finale and John Demoss of Bloomington, IN would capture the inaugural American Modified Series presented by Force Fuel and Engine Conditioner series championship.  Young’s victory would be earn him $2,000 for his efforts.

Young would start on the pole position to take his first-ever AMS tour victory, while outside polesitter Shelby Miles would finish second.  Bryan Barber would roll home in the third position, while 14th starting Jeff Harris would claim fourth at the finish, with John Demoss taking fifth.  The remainder of the top ten would be 13th starting Chuck Griffis, J.D. Largent, Clint Demoss, Roger Williams, and 20th starting Jason Largent.

In preliminary action, Clint Demoss was the SPEC Race Engines top qualifier at 15.721 seconds.  Trent Young would win Wehr’s Machine and Racing Products heat one, Roger Williams would win PPM Racing Products heat two, Shelby Miles would win Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil heat three, and Bryan Barber would win Wiles Driveshafts heat four.  The B-Mains would be captured by Elliott Despain and John Chase.

The final points are currently being audited and the final official points tally will be released later on this week.
