WolfPack Challenge Series Releases 2007 Schedule

CLAY CITY, IN-The UMP Modified WolfPack Challenge Series is proud to announce the schedule for the upcoming 2007 season. The hunt for the 2007 championship will get underway with a bang with three consecutive races on three consecutive nights. It all gets underway on Friday, April 20th at the Kankakee Motor Speedway in Kankakee, Illinois. The following night on April 21st the series will travel to the Kamp Motor Speedway in Boswell, Indiana and conclude the weekend on April 22nd at the Vermillion County Speedway in Danville, Ill.

Twenty-One races are on the card for the 2007 WolfPack Challenge with the season set to end like it started with a “Triple Play Weekend” on August 31st through September 2nd when the series will again visit Kankakee Motor Speedway, Kamp Motor Speedway, and Vermillion County Speedway. Other tracks with dates on the 2007 schedule include the Mount Vernon Raceway, Clay County Speedway, Twin Cities Raceway Park, Bloomington Speedway, Brownstown Speedway, Paducah International Raceway, Macon Speedway, Gas City I-69 Speedway, and Paragon Speedway.

The 2006 season was a great one for the WolfPack Challenge Series as Mike Harrison took home the 2006 championship after twelve races in three states that included 436 entries. Harrison led the series with five wins and finished the UMP National Standings in third place. The average car count for each race was 35 as the series saw car counts as high as 50. Mike Harrison (5), Ryan Driemeyer, Jeff Bland, Lee Hobbs, Dan Hamstra, Matt Mevert, Jeff Leka, and second place points finish Ray Humphrey all won WolfPack Challenge races in 2006. Hamstra, Harrison, and Leka where all in the top five in UMP National Point Standings.
