WEEDSPORT, N. Y. – February 7, 2013 – DIRTcar officials today released provisional schedules for the Super DIRTcar Series as well as the DIRTcar 358-Modified, Sportsman Modified and Pro Stock Series. The action-packed schedules feature some of racing’s longstanding traditions in the Northeast, such as NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week XLII in Syracuse and the Eastern States 200 at the Orange County Fair Speedway, as well as some added events sure to add drama to the already thrilling traveling series.

The season begins early for Big Block Modified racers with UNOH DIRTcar Nationals presented by Summit Racing Equipment in February at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla. UNOH DIRTcar Nationals presented by Summit Racing Equipment features nearly two straight weeks of daily doubleheaders from Tuesday, Feb. 12, through Saturday, Feb. 23. Opening night for the Super DIRTcar Series is Wednesday, Feb 20. The next three nights, Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 21 through Feb. 23, the Big Block Modifieds share the stage with the World of Outlaws Late Models Series.

Super DIRTcar Series competitors then trek back north for their first points race of the season, taking on “The Fast Track” at Rolling Wheels Raceway in Elbridge, N. Y., Wednesday, June 5. The DIRTcar Sportsman Modified Series also wheels into central New York the same night for the Hall of Fame event at Rolling Wheels. The race will be the second of the season for the Sportsman Modified Series after their Sunday, June 2, opener at Cornwall Motor Speedway in Cornwall, Ontario.

The remaining DIRTcar Northeast traveling series will be heating up at the same time, with the 358-Modified Series kicking off in Ontario, Canada, with two features in two nights. The small block opener Sunday, May 19, at Cornwall Motor Speedway immediately precedes a race night for the series Monday, May 20, at Merrittville Speedway. The DIRTcar Pro Stock Series kicks off with the DIRTcar Sportsman Modified Series Sunday, June 2, at Cornwall Motor Speedway.

In mid-June, the Super DIRTcar Series bests may just get their “GTL” on as they head to New Jersey for the “Dirty Jersey 60” at New Egypt Speedway Tuesday, June 19. The event, co-promoted by dirt Modified superstar Stewart Friesen and special events promoter Brett Deyo, marks the first time since 2007 the Big-Block Modified tour has circled the track at New Egypt and promises endless thrills as the best teams in the north take on the best of New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The Super DIRTcar Series wraps up the month of June at Cornwall Motor Speedway with a pre-Canada-Day race Sunday, June 30. The patriotism continues into early July with Ransomville Speedway’s “Battle at the Border” Wednesday, July 3, pitting Canadian and American 358-Modified teams against one another the eve of Independence Day.

The Big Show 5 takes the Big Block Modifieds of the Super DIRTcar Series to Albany-Saratoga Speedway in Malta, N. Y. for the second consecutive year. The fifth incarnation of the event, promoted by legendary Modified driver Brett Hearn, takes place Tuesday, July 9. Later in July, the Super DIRTcar Series crosses to Quebec for two features, one Monday, July 22, at Autodrome Drummond, and the second Tuesday, July 23, at Autodrome Granby.

On Monday, Aug. 5, the Super DIRTcar Series teams caravan west to Merrittville Speedway in Thorold, Ontario, continuing to Ionia, Mich., for a Tuesday, August 6, feature at I-96 Speedway. Back in the Northeast, Super DIRTcar Series competitors will spend Thursday, Aug. 15, at Lebanon Valley Speedway in West Lebanon, N. Y., vying for the prestigious “Mr. DIRT Track USA” title.

As the weekly racing season winds down in September, the season continues to rev up for the DIRTcar Northeast Series. Sunday, Sept. 1, features two Labor Day Weekend events, one at Rolling Wheels Raceway featuring the Super DIRTcar Series and the second at Cornwall Motor Speedway featuring the 358-Modifed Series.

The next weekend, Autodrome Drummond plays host to the 358-Modified Series Friday, Sept. 6, with the Pro Stock Series and Super DIRTcar Series taking over the next night, Saturday, Sept. 7. The same weekend, the Sportsman Modified Series will be hopping around the western part of the DIRTcar Northeast region, hitting up Ransomville Speedway Friday, Sept. 6, Merrittville Speedway Saturday, Sept. 7, finishing the weekend Sunday, Sept. 8, at Humberstone Speedway in Port Colborne, Ontario.

Saturday, Sept. 14, the Super DIRTcar Series heads to Mohawk International Raceway in Akwesasne, N. Y., for its last feature event before NAPA Super DIRT Week XLII.

In the interim, however, Brighton Speedway’s Applefest in Brighton, Ontario, keeps the action alive, bringing in the Sportsman Modified Series Friday, Sept. 20, and the 358-Modified Series there Saturday, Sept. 21. This year, Le RPM Speedway in St-Marcel De Richelieu, Quebec, will alternate nights with Brighton Speedway, hosting the 358-Modified Series Friday, Sept. 20, and the Sportsman Modified Series Saturday, Sept. 21.

NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week XLII kicks off Wednesday, Oct. 9, with events at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, N. Y., as well as race nights at nearby satellite tracks in central New York. The 358-Modified Series will spend opening night at Cayuga County Fair Speedway in Elbridge, N. Y., and the next night, Thursday, Oct. 10, at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park. NAPA Super DIRT Week championship events take place Saturday, Oct. 12, with a 30-lap Sportsman Modified feature and a 150-lap 358-Modified Series feature on the “Moody Mile” at the New York State Fairgrounds. The biggest week in DIRTcar Racing concludes Sunday, Oct. 13, with a 30-lap Pro Stock Series race and a 200-lap Super DIRTcar Series race, both at the New York State Fairgrounds.

The four series then travel to Brockville Ontario Speedway for 1000 Islands RV DIRTcar Fall Nationals. The season finale for the 358-Modified Series and Pro Stock Series is Saturday, Oct. 19. The Sportsman Modified finale is Sunday, Oct. 20. The Super DIRTcar Series races at Brockville Sunday, Oct. 20.

The Super DIRTcar Series continues racing through October and into Novemeber, with the historic Eastern States 200 concluding Eastern States Weekend Sunday, Oct. 27, at Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, N. Y.

In November, the Super DIRTcar Series, as well as the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series, heads to The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N. C., for the season finale. Qualifying events for the seventh annual PEAK Motor Oil World of Outlaws World Finals presented by NAPA Auto Parts take place Thursday, Nov. 7, with full feature races for the Super DIRTcar Series slated for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 8 and 9.

In addition to the four dirt series, the DIRTcar 358-Modified Asphalt series continues into the 2013 season with the schedule to be released at a later date.
