OSWEGO, NY — Oct. 6, 2018 — Forty-one DIRTcar Pro Stocks took the 5/8-mile at Oswego Speedway for their NAPA Super DIRT Week XLVII debut on Saturday afternoon after a morning rain delay, and wrapped up an unexpectedly late day of racing at 9:04 p.m. with the entire field set for Sunday’s 50-lap Feature.
Qualifying Time Trials determined the first 24 positions. Chuck Dumblewski earned the Fastline Performance Pole Award in Time Trials with 24.370-second lap and will lead the 30-lap field to green with Josh Coonradt on the outside pole. Jocelyn Roy, five-time NAPA Super DIRT Week Champion Rob Yetman, C.D. Beauchamp and Pascal Payeur complete the first three rows.
Following Time Trials, a 10-lap Last Chance Showdown determined the remaining starting positions. Dan Older took the checkers for P.25, followed by Pete Stefanski, Jay Corbin, Marc Lalonde and Dean Charbonneau. Jocelyn Chicoine completed the field with a provisional for the final spot.
The DIRTcar Pro Stock 50 will start at noon tomorrow between the Chevy Performance 75 and the Billy Whittaker Cars 200.
