From Syracuse to Florida, Dirt Modified Magazine Has The Northeast Covered

Weedsport, NYNovember 28, 2008 – By Tom Skibinski, DIRTcar Racing Northeast PR Director

Just in time for the holidays, the next issue of Dirt Modified Magazine is sure to be a cure for the winter time doldrums with plenty of coverage provided from DIRTcar Racing in the Northeast.

The January edition of Dirt Modified Magazine goes on sale December 12 and features in it three exclusive stories on DIRTcar Big-Block racing, including a review of Super DIRT Week XXXVII in Syracuse, New York and an historical account of events leading up to the 38th running of the Alltel DIRTcar Nationals by UNOH at Volusia Speedway Park in Florida.

Between the covers are a complete re-cap of Super DIRT Week, a feature story on recent Rite Aid 200 winner Frank Cozze, and the first installment of a rare two-part piece on Big-Block Modifieds competing during Race Weeks in February over the past 30 years.

“We have an early Christmas Special going on right now that’s available at the website,” said Three Wide Media, LLC President Mike O’Connor, who’s Independence, Iowa-based magazine celebrated its 1st Anniversary in September. “If DIRTcar fans want a steady diet of content related to their favorite kind of racing, then a subscription to Dirt Modified Magazine is certainly for them. It’s a great gift for friends and a perfect stocking-stuffer for someone in your family.”

Dirt Modified Magazine covers every type of Modified racing from coast to coast and is available bi-monthly by issue or by subscription at www.threewidemedia.com or by calling 319/332-0129.

The first-ever copy unveiled to the public in September of 2007 offered an essay about Modifieds ‘’downunder’ alluding to an appearance in Australia by Tim Fuller and the debut of Bicknell Racing Product (BRP) cars across the ocean.

Prominent pieces published this past year include Super DIRT Week ’07 highlights (January), Gary Tomkins’ exploits in Australia (March), stories on Del Rougeux Jr. and King Bros. Racing (May), an Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series escape to Canada (July), Northeast Modified Hall of Fame inductions (July), Modified chassis choices (September), Kevin Bolland profile (September) and the first Big-Block cover story featuring Brett Hearn’s return to the Syracuse Mile (November).
