A popular infield fixture at the New York State Fairgrounds during the late 1990s, the return of a giant video board during Super DIRT Week XXXIX, Oct. 6-10, will provide a BIG bonus to race fans during the 39th annual showdown in Syracuse.

Spectators will be able to view activity around the entire track as the Toshiba TechnoRainbow will be positioned in the infield, directly across from the starter’s stand, in full view of the main grandstand. Manufactured especially for use during daylight hours utilizing the latest in high-resolution LED technology, the lucid viewing area allows great visibility even without sitting directly in front.

“The addition of the video screen continues to make this year’s running of Super DIRT Week even more fan-friendly,” remarked Roger Slack, Executive Vice President of Events for World Racing Group. “This is the same kind of technology used today in many professional sports stadiums around the country. It certainly produces a major league setting and you can’t find a more historic backdrop in motorsports than the Syracuse Mile.”

The screen, provided by USAC Racing and shipped in direct from Indianapolis, will offer full DIRTVision coverage, which includes Friday and Saturday afternoon events, along with the SPEED Channel feed of the SEF Small Engine Fuels 200 Presented by Ferris/Snapper/Simplicity Big-Block Modified Championship on Sunday.

Along with witnessing the activity in person and the replays soon after, front row fans in attendance will also be entertained by driver interviews, pit stop and accident reports, and all the backstretch action as it happens in front of their eyes.
