Friday DIRTcar Nationals to feature expanded program, Big Gator championships

Friday’s portion of the 52nd Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals is set to give fans an expanded day of racing with Thursday’s postponed Features kicking off the Big Gator Championship night.

Persistent evening rain showers forced World of Outlaws, DIRTcar Racing and Volusia Speedway Park officials to deem Thursday’s program official and complete. However, officials wanted to make sure drivers and fans still got the most out of the week’s racing and moved Thursday’s World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series Feature and three remaining DIRTcar UMP Modified Features to Friday afternoon.

Grandstands will open at 4:30pm followed by Hot Laps at 5pm for World of Outlaws Sprint Cars that were set to start Thursday’s race. Then, DIRTcar UMP Modified Feature #4 from Thursday will be the first Feature of the evening and lead to the 25-lap World of Outlaws Feature. The final two DIRTcar UMP Modified Features will follow.

The program will then shift to Friday’s portion of the night, starting with Hot Laps and Qualifying before Opening Ceremonies.

Friday tickets will allow you to see the entire day of racing, which will conclude with the crowning of the 2023 Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals Big Gator champions for the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars and DIRTcar UMP Modifieds.
