Heavy Rain Cancels Wednesday Practice at DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals

Rainout

Due to inclement weather moving through central Florida Tuesday night into Wednesday, World of Outlaws Late Models, DIRTcar, and Volusia Speedway Park officials have agreed to cancel Wednesday’s practice day at DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals

The decision was made after consultation with Precision Weather Service in an effort to ensure the racing surface and pit area is ready for competition later in the week.

Racing action on Thursday, Friday and Saturday is still on as scheduled for the World of Outlaws Late Models, Crate Racin’ USA Late Models and 602 Late Models. Thursday and Friday’s World of Outlaws shows will include a 35-lap, $12,000-to-win Feature on each night, while the weekend wraps up with a 50-lap, $20,000-to-win World of Outlaws main event on Saturday night.

On Thursday, pit gates will now open at 10:30 a.m. and hauler load-in will begin at 11 a.m. All other times will remain the same, with spectator gates opening at 3 p.m. and Hot Laps beginning at 4 p.m.

Fans can purchase DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals tickets by clicking here.

If you can’t make it to the track, stream every lap live on DIRTVision.
