Heavy Rainfall Cancels DIRTcar Summer Nationals at Peoria Speedway

Due to heavy, continuous rainfall throughout the day Sunday that has left portions of the property at Peoria Speedway under water, rendering the track and facility unsuitable for racing conditions, DIRTcar and Track Enterprises officials have made the decision to cancel Monday’s DIRTcar Summer Nationals and Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals events.

Fans who purchased tickets in advance will automatically receive refunds in the coming days.

“This is obviously a disappointing outcome for everyone involved,” said Track Enterprises President Bob Sargent. “Unfortunately, the amount of rainfall we’ve received is far too much to conduct an event tomorrow. We appreciate the support of the fans and race teams and share in their disappointment.”

The DIRTcar Summer Nationals and Summit Modified Nationals are scheduled to resume racing on Tuesday, June 23, at Benton Speedway in Benton, MO, in the kickoff to Week 3 competition. Tickets for the event will be sold at the track on race day.

If you can’t be there in person, stream every lap live on DIRTVision.
