Sunshine, Gators, Horsepower Combine For Exciting Start to 2026 at Volusia

Volusia Speedway Park

The first three months of 2026 at Volusia Speedway Park are packed with a “Late Model Palooza,” over $1 million in available winnings, and a jamboree of horsepower.

“The World’s Fastest Half Mile” will again open with three of the biggest dirt racing events in Florida with the DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals (Jan. 21-24), Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals (Jan. 29-Feb. 14), and World of Outlaws Bike Week Jamboree (March 1-2).

Each attracts the top national and local drivers for multi-day shows and helps open the 2026 season for the premier dirt racing series in the country.

DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals | Jan. 21-24
Volusia will open its gates for the first time in 2026 with its annual “Late Model Palooza.” Bringing the World of Outlaws Late Model Series presented by DIRTVision, Crate Racin’ USA 604 Late Models, and 602 Late Models together for three straight race nights, DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals will be the prime winter destination for Late Model fans.

The week opens with a practice night on Wednesday, Jan. 21, and then continues with three straight nights of Feature racing. The three Late Model divisions will compete every night.

Along with being the season-opener for Volusia Speedway Park, DIRTcar Sunshine Nationals will also be the season-opener for the World of Outlaws Late Models as the Series enters its 25th season. Among the drivers in attendance, Bobby Pierce will kick off his quest for a third World of Outlaws title, Nick Hoffman will look to add to his vast collection of Volusia Speedway Park trophies, and Ryan Gustin will aim to again start the season with a win.

Thursday and Friday night’s World of Outlaws Features will pay $12,000 to win, while Saturday’s race will pay $20,000 to win, kicking off a season full of stout purses for the Series.

Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals | Jan. 29-Feb. 14
A more than $1 million event purse is set for three weeks of Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals action at the “World’s Fastest Half Mile.”

The most coveted dirt racing trophy in Florida will be on the line every night in the form of a golden gator. And at the end of each week, the Big Gator Championship trophy will await the event champions.

Week 1, Jan. 29-31, will see the return of the American Sprint Car Series for its 2026 season-opener, accompanied by DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, which will be earning points toward the DIRTcar UMP Modified Speedweeks title.

Week 2 will have a similar theme with Sprint Cars and Modifieds, but this time the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series will take center stage. The Modifieds will complete all week Monday-Saturday, Feb. 2-7, with three championships on the line.

Along with the Speedweeks title, Modified drivers will also be competing for the Big Gator Championship – based on points collected Monday through Saturday – and the Gator Championship, which is won by winning Saturday’s 30-lap, $5,000-to-win, Feature. Curt Spalding won the Big Gator Championship and the Gator Championship Feature in 2025.

The World of Outlaws Sprint Cars will run Wednesday-Saturday, Feb. 4-7, to commence their 49th season. All four nights will count toward the Big Gator Championship, which was won by Kyle Larson for the first time last year. David Gravel, a Florida resident, will be among the stout field of drivers looking to collect the gator trophies, as he aims for a third straight World of Outlaws championship.

Week 3 brings fans four series to enjoy with the USAC National Sprint Car Series (Feb. 9-10) and DIRTcar Late Models (Feb. 9-11) opening the show. Then, the Super DIRTcar Series joins for four straight nights (Feb. 11-14) before the World of Outlaws Late Models make the trip back to Volusia for another three nights of racing (Feb. 12-14).

Big Gator titles will be handed out to the USAC Sprint Car champion on Tuesday and then to the Late Model and Super DIRTcar Series champions on Saturday. Kyle Cummins won the 2025 USAC Big Gator title, Ricky Thornton Jr. won the Late Model Big Gator title, and Alex Yankowski won the Super DIRTcar Series Big Gator title – all first-time champions.

Each week will also feature various fan activities in the midway and a large assortment of food vendors.

Tickets to all three weeks of Federated Auto Parts DIRTcar Nationals are available online now.

World of Outlaws Bike Week Jamboree | March 1-2
After all the gators are claimed at DIRTcar Nationals, Volusia will welcome back the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars to help celebrate one of the most historic weeks in Florida – Bike Week.

Two-wheels meet four-wheels as the World of Outlaws take over Volusia County by joining the DeLand Bike Rally on Saturday, Feb. 28, and welcoming race fans and bikers to two straight nights of The Greatest Show on Dirt, March 1-2.

The best Sprint Car drivers in the country will again trade slide jobs and dirt as they compete for coveted World of Outlaws victories.

They’ll be joined by the track’s Factory Stock division both nights.
